Today all of my students became pet owners. They earn money each week by working hard in a variety of ways. At the end of the week, they can choose to spend or save their money for their pet! Here, this student used the hairy money strategy to count and see what she can buy🙂

Thank you to Ms. Sholly- our math specialist for co-teaching with me today. She showed us new strategies we can use to count money. She brought rods that she cut in half to represent our 5 cent ‘hairs’ on our coins! The scholars loved it!
