@hothingsgirlsay Someone chided me the other day for saying that privacy in bathrooms was a boundary and said “don’t they have dividers in women’s bathrooms?” Which is kind of funny bc I’m pretty men’s bathrooms have them too. So… why do they need to use women’s bathrooms?
@JeffNashKS@June1966Allen@JenniferSey And to answer your question, when I was threatened, I called the police and took my family out of town. We subsequently moved because I had PTSD and would shake violently when I thought about it. Unlike Sophie, I retreated and hid. So, yeah, I think Sophie and Hugh are brave.
@JeffNashKS@June1966Allen@JenniferSey You might be a good person but don’t pretend you know what women have been through this issue. I have been completely surrounded by trans advocates shouting at me with no way out. They threatened me and my family and sent death threats.
For asking someone to lower a sign.
@JeffNashKS@June1966Allen@JenniferSey I feel AFRAID of aggressive men wearing women’s clothes. The same as I am afraid of someone on drugs or anyone who menaces me refuses to respect my boundaries. I am afraid of people who threaten and demean me.
@JeffNashKS@June1966Allen@JenniferSey I know trans people who are kind and nice. But, they are NOT activists. They do NOT call women hateful for setting boundaries. They do not physically intimidate them. They do not insist that there is no difference between a woman and trans woman. They do NOT MANSPLAIN!!!
@JeffNashKS@June1966Allen@JenniferSey How does it make no sense? Whose rights does it take away? Boys and men have a “RIGHT” to play in protected women’s leagues?
You’re in the very small minority on this, fyi.
@hothingsgirlsay Also… their argument is: non sequitur/irrelevant appeal to unspecified research → unsupported accusation of bad faith → loaded question/red herring
@hothingsgirlsay Remember in the 80s, there were “Kid Sister” dolls and “My Buddy” dolls? In the 50s thru 80s, boys were encouraged to look up to their dads. Lately, we see pink Lego’s and fat/skinny/short/tall Barbie’s and effeminate Ken. Feels like women’s characteristics have been devalued.
@hothingsgirlsay Btw… so if they’re saying they shouldn’t have to be seen naked by someone they don’t feel comfortable around, how is that different than a woman saying she doesn’t want to be seen naked in a locker room by any bio man who decides he is a woman? Why is privacy an issue NOW?
@hothingsgirlsay They INSISTED that preschool and early age children be able to identify their sex anatomy in scientific terms and said nobody would believe those children if they just said they felt uncomfortable 😡
@hothingsgirlsay Agree. These people can cry me a river. They threatened and harassed anyone who didn’t support full on gender exploration in kindergarten classes. They never respected my child’s right to learning about sex in a private setting or letting my child wait until 4th/5the grade.
@June1966Allen@JenniferSey Usually I hate being lectured by entertainers, but that’s because they usually only say and do what they think improves their ratings.
It takes some courage to stand against the crowd, so I give HL credit for that.
@CurtSECFootball@Highway_30 Ps… Ad hominem. Tu quoque. Poisoning the well. Red herring. Appeal to ridicule.
That’s a lot of logical fallacies packed into one tweet—and not one of them addresses the actual argument.
@LateToTweet2@CurtSECFootball@Highway_30 He’s not demanding access to me or my children. He’s pushing for my kids to have a safe physical environment.
Doesn’t make him a saint or say he won’t meet judgement for his sins.
But… right now, right here- he is protecting me. You are mocking and denying there is a threat
