Great friend of mine and fellow Physiotherapist @ianmelts was live on BBC Radio Leeds yesterday morning. Ian highlighted the duties of a physiotherapist during the COVID period and with a respiratory based patient!

As of Monday our respiratory physiotherapy team are switching to a nursing shift pattern of 07:00-19:30 to aid with the potential inflow of patients on ICU/ARCU
We plan on making our proning plan a main priority everyday for our critical patients on ARCU
I’ve worked the past 6/7 days, including being called to see a ?COVID 4 month old at 04:00am and a spinals patient that had plugged off

I’m on call tonight, even with the world self-isolating & quarantined our NHS staff are battling on as always!
Remember, cough & fever = stay home!
Spread love, not germs! ♥️🏳️🌈
Stay safe everybody! #OurNHS
Some fantastic personal feedback I’ve had from family / patients over the past few days!
Nothing more satisfying than helping get your patient home for Christmas
