Manchester first-time buyer facing bankruptcy to remediate fire safety issues. No cavity barriers and combustible cladding.
Simply can't believe the injustice.

"Where a developer has not pledged to fix properties, applications could be submitted to the BSF which is due to reopen or they could apply for the medium rise fund which will be launched soon."

We are stuck in unsellable and unsafe flats throughout the U.K. Many of us are still waiting for funding, thanks to the government’s lack of action.
Only a tiny percentage of buildings have been remediated.
@Miles4Lothian, it is not just the SNP dragging it’s feet.
5 yrs after #Grenfell, will @michaelgove impose a legally binding deadline for remediation work on blocks that are unsafe due to #cladding & other fire safety defects?

Ever moving goalposts make leaseholders perfect to squeeze for every penny they have
@michaelgove@team_greenhalgh
Getting the job done?
Bankrupting leaseholders is the job right?
8 years ago @WillmottDixon built our block of flats. 4 years ago we discovered they used flammable cladding materials, didn’t install cavity barriers or internal fire breaks. And yet we’re still here, WD refuse to pay and we can’t move on with our lives. @michaelgove @luhc
I just feel sick watching Jenrick. He did so little for leaseholders & slowed down progress. We are still no where near to a solution on the ground. Now he is pretending that he cares that people on low incomes will be affected by strikes. Go away please. @10DowningStreet@eoc
3yrs since the first block in our development asked for an EWS1. 1.5 yrs since failed inspections, 1yr + of waking watch (finally now gone), new alarms, NO proposed works shared and NO works started - when will this end? #BuildingSafetyCrisis@EmilyThornberry@UnaOHalloran@ukcag
The Govt's leaseholder protections have loopholes ❌
#Ipswich Cllr @davidellesmere 🗣️ "Not all leaseholders are covered – despite the promise that they would be."
We fight on with local campaigners @ICladiators 💪

The cladding scandal has left ‘accidental landlords’ "at the sharp end of unaffordable mortgage rates" says @WhichUK
Once 'consent to let' ends, they are facing yet more difficulties.

Developers may have signed a 'pledge' but this pledge isn't currently legally binding.
So, guess what @luhc @michaelgove@team_greenhalgh?
This is what they are currently doing 👇

❌ The #BuildingSafetyCrisis is definitely not over!
