If you never completely give up and quit, you’ll never have to totally restart.
It’s ok to slow down. It’s normal to struggle. Failure only happens if you actually give up. Keep going.
After a big day of eating, the best way to get “back on track” is to simply get back to your normal eating routine.
A day of under eating in an effort to cancel out a day of over eating is ineffective and only keeps you “off track” for one more day.
When self care is not a priority, things like going for a 15 minute walk or drinking more water seem like a burden.
Don’t expect to make major physical changes without changing your mindset on taking care of yourself. Your health is not a chore.
Remember when parents would say not to make weird faces, because it might get stuck like that?
That actually happens to your adult body. It’s called desk posture. If you sit too much… your posture gets stuck like that.
Stand up. Stretch it out once in a while.
Goals without plans are just dreams.
Plans without action are just nice words on paper.
Taking action is the only way to take real steps forward.
Make 2023 the year you actually set goals, plan them out and act accordingly.
To add lean muscle our bodies we need;
1. Resistance training for muscle breakdown
2. Adequate protein for muscle repair

Working out = going through the motions, staying comfortable, getting it over with, random or no direction, figuring out what to do on the fly.

For most of us, being the leanest person in the room isn’t going to drastically improve the quality of your life.
For all of us, having strong + functional joints, muscles, hearts and lungs are mandatory for having a higher quality of life.
Any nutrition plan that eliminates entire food groups is a big red flag 🚩
Carbs are essential.
Fats are essential.
Proteins are essential.
Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Let’s argue about it 👇🏼
We absolutely can not “tone up” muscles that don’t exist.
You may want to spend some time building muscle before you try to “tone” your skin and bones.
When it comes to fitness goals, there is nothing worse than basing your success or failure on the scale.
You could get stronger, improve movements, and improve mental health. But if you can’t drop 5 more pounds you feel badly about your body? Just doesn’t make sense.
My biggest take away from 13 years of training myself and 6 years of training others;

- You can do cardio until your legs fall off.
- If you don’t handle nutrition appropriately, nothing else matters.
