Day 9 is done! A glorious day running the Grand Union canal through Hertfordshire with my friend Jon. Video diary later. Last leg tomorrow (possibly literally). Hoping to reach home at 1pm. #M1forT1
Day 8 video diary is here, courtesy of Crouching Monkey Productions.
Two running days left: Friday from Leighton Buzzard to Kings Langley, then Saturday back to junction 1 - and home - in London. Onwards! #M1forT1 https://t.co/7c40QvSSAD
@jbanningww1 @JDRFUK Thanks Jeremy - appreciate it! I was going to take Rufus in my backpack but he was too big, so it’s my son’s monkey instead. Best wishes to you and your daughter.
Day 8 complete! First 10km with @cc_db flew by. Last 10km felt hard. Just Friday and Saturday to go - then I (hopefully) get to M1 junction 1, and see Rach, Rosie and Henry again after two weeks! Onwards! #M1forT1
Seven days done - three to go! A good day running along the Grand Union Canal - under and alongside the M1 - from Crick to Stoke Bruerne, joined by @PeterHeneghan. Video diary later. For now, onwards! #M1forT1
Day 6 video diary is here, featuring: Joe, Monkey’s thoughts on Joe, a roller, the village of Crick and head injuries. Great running with Joe. Rest day tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for continued amazing support and sponsorship. Now approaching £10,000!

Day 6 is done! We ran a slightly shorter route today, but needed extra time to a) collect my cap after bashing my bonce on low-hanging branches (x3) and b) clamber over barbed wire after a wrong turn. Video to follow. Rest day tomorrow. Onwards! #M1forT1
Day 5 completed! Quite a challenging day - after a fast day yesterday and a bit of pain in my knee - but grateful to ‘Barrow Runners’ Katie, Andy and Lucy for their company. (Special mention for Lucy, for putting up with me for the whole route!) Onwards! #M1forT1
Day 4 video diary! This time WITH video! Featuring my friend Tom, Notts County, media interviews, Jake Bugg, Nelly, Lionel and, of course, Monkey!
Thanks to everyone for the support. Now aiming for £10,000! #M1forT1 Check out Jamie Austin's video! #TikTok https://t.co/xqXydaI3gW
Finished day 4. Ended up being a long one as we stopped to do a BBC interview at Notts County for 30 mins! The first image is the total time from my phone, the second is the time from my friend Tom’s phone - he paused when we stopped. Need a rest now ahead of tomorrow…!#M1forT1
Day 3 video is here! Featuring the Austin/Coverdale misunderstanding, train tracks, Sinitta tracks, Hucknall, 1970s comedy and music from Notts duo Bent.
Thanks so much for the continued support, which will help @JDRFUK continue their brilliant work in type 1 diabetes. #M1forT1
Day 3 done! A little shorter in mileage and slower in pace, but good to keep ticking over. Video diary later, then a break day tomorrow. Back on the road on Friday, running for @JDRFUK. #M1forT1
Here’s my video diary from day 1, with music inspired by the locations. Early start tomorrow for day two. Thanks for the amazing support so far! #M1forT1 https://t.co/OkiL90odNI
Day one done! Went a bit quicker than planned as got a bit overexcited…it’ll be slower from now on. Will post a round up video later. Thanks for all the support and sponsorship so far! #M1forT1
