It's not racist to prioritise your own people at all, charity begins at home. Try going to Turkiye and demanding housing. You won't get very far.

@KayBurley Describing the journey as especially dangerous or perilous is missing the point. It is not all that dangerous. About 1 in 1250 migrants die or 0.08%. Journalists should challenge ministers pushing that narrative rather than parrot it. Those odds are not going to put anyone off.

And there's an easy solution regardless - don't commit crimes.

@defeatrun @FraserNelson It doesn't matter what % of immigration it is, if the government doesn't have control of it (and it is happening against the expressed wishes of said government) then it is clearly unfettered.

Furthermore, saying it's a small % ignores the huge fiscal impact it has.

It's not racist at all to assume that you may have come to the UK to be a doctor - many people do.
