New billboards rarely disrupt routines. But when one appeared near I 69 in Lansing, MI something was different. Local newspapers and the billboard company began receiving calls from frightened passersby concerned about the white Arabic script set against a black backdrop. @Curbed

I couldn't be happier with how my 'Human Being' @for_freedoms billboard came out. The conversations it has sparked are so powerful.

In 3 days @RashidaTlaib will be elected into congress! First Muslim woman in the history of the U.S. 🇺🇸

My students found this devastating & powerful. Billboard by @stuart_sheldon in Miami. @for_freedoms demonstrating how artists can contribute to the public discourse.

There are so many children on this caravan. Everywhere I turn I see babies crying, toddlers begging to be picked up, five year olds limping along the road and teenagers carrying their house on their backs.

I worry how much farther they can walk.

[The Soze Agency @WeAreSoze]

Our co-founder @paolamendoza has gone to Mexico with @kishabari to do what all artists are obliged to do: to tell the truth. Please follow along Paola for the next few days as you hear from her and the #caravanamigrante.

Rosa is a single mother of 4. Her oldest is 10 yrs old and her youngest is 4 months old.

We are all driving to Mexico City. She asked me if it was close to the border. When I showed her the map she broke down crying. She had no idea how far she was.

They just told the people that they don’t have buses to get to Mexico City.

They were offered by the state buses to a city in the south.

People have to decide walk north in a very dangerous state or take buses to a town south from here.

People are upset, hurt + demoralized

Ammal died in Yemen because of hunger. She wanted to live. The world didn’t help her. No child should die from hunger. Every child deserve to live.
