@paullewismoney @TorstenBell My mum is 84 and has dementia. She’s still at home at the moment in the two 2 bed house that we grew up in. The plaster has fallen off the outside wall but she can’t afford to have the cavity wall insulation which caused it removed. Her pension: £12822. No 24/25 WFA for her.

But even if we assume that they are all foreign, we can say that a max of 1.3% of net migrants went to work in the NHS. Irrelevance.

@RichardBurgon If housing is under strain, rental prices increase, which impoverishes others.
We know that migration impacts wages, too. Anybody that claims it doesn't better not be counted amongst those whining that Brexit had made labour costs more expensive.

If you invite 7 million people to your country, and most of them do not earn enough to pay NET tax, then the NHS will be under strain. If you invite 750,000 people to your country, and only build 150,000 houses a year, housing is under strain.
