Like it or not, the introduction of the Directly Elected Mayor is the biggest reform of local government in 130 years. What’s happening in #Limerick matters for all of Ireland. Mayor Moran has a clear mandate — let him deliver for Limerick. Don’t waste this chance.

Cissie Roughan holds a significant place in the history of Kilrush as she was the first female member and first female chairperson of what was then known as Kilrush Urban District Council, on which she represented the Labour Party. @labour@ivanabacik@ConorSheehan93

Jim would have got great satisfaction from Conor’s election, he believed in being part of a movement and ensuring his principles and work were continued on by younger people, I was fortunate to “serve my time” with Jim and so proud to see Conor take the banner forward 🌹
I was lucky enough to be able to call Jim a friend, as he was to so many young members of our party. He would be immensely proud of you, Conor, as his and @JanOSullivanTD successor.
Enjoy your well earned retirement Cathy! Always an engaging, interesting and supremely professional teller of the stories of the Midwest, will be missed!
