#Patientengagement still matters as the world becomes more digital, more connected, and consumers/patients expect healthcare to provide the kind of convenient, interconnected experiences they have in the rest of their lives! #digitalhealth#participatoryhealth
Yesterday’s Social Security Trustees Report confirmed that millions of retirees are facing a twenty to twenty-five percent cut in benefits which can throw them into poverty and put a greater strain on their families.
Congress must step up now to protect Social Security before it’s too late. It’s only going to cost more and be more difficult to solve the longer we wait.
1/ Last month I told a room of Baltic intelligence officers and diplomats that Donald Trump is an asset of Russian intelligence. Not one of them blinked. "Of course," they said. Ho hum. But in America, saying it out loud is still taboo. Why? 🧵
In the past 8 hours trump has:
-Praised Allah
-Says he loves inflation
-Claims the US is secretly stealing Iranian oil
-Compared himself to MLK Jr.
The media just shrug and move on.
I have been volunteering for the food bank here and let me tell you all the demand exceeds the supply. Hundreds of thousands of people lost SNAP in Arizona due to Trump's cuts. It's the children that make me so sad. Criminal.
According to a new report released today by the Miami New Times, Trump threw and funded underage sex parties at his Palm Beach golf course.
The president was made aware of the pending publication 2 days ago.
Maybe now you understand why we struck Iran last night.
Last week, I was sitting in an arbitration hearing in which Washington Post leadership labeled me as a threat.
And excused away the purging of Black writers, questioning our merit.
Today, I’m getting a Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
I asked my junior resident on rounds today: Why do we treat a UTI in a woman with 3 days of pills and send her home, but a UTI in a man is automatically classified as a complicated infection?
He mumbled something vague about anatomy.
Excellent, this is how it’s done! Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee, a longtime member of the House Judiciary Committee, has filed six articles of impeachment against Chief Justice John Roberts, accusing him of letting the Supreme Court become a partisan weapon.
@luxemiaa I'm here to agree with everyone who says that you need to respect your daughter and protect her from your parents' body shaming comments. She doesn't feel safe with them and you need to protect her.
BELIEVE WHAT YOU HEAR WHEN ITS RECORDED BY A HIDDEN MICROPHONE
It doesn't appear that Mike Johnson knew he was being recorded today when he admitted that if they hold on to power, Republicans will cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security next year.
Vote Blue in November!
Mike Johnson says that the CA election is rigged so diabolically that it is impossible to prove. But people know it was rigged, because they know so instinctively.
I dare anyone to name a timeline stupider than this one.
Actually apart from Trump’s health, the story that really made me convinced media outlets are silencing themselves was the Homan bribery story. The guy was literally caught on FBI hidden camera taking $50k in a Cava bag. Should be catnip for DC journalists! Barely covered.
And THIS, right here, explains why - if you live in NY's 12th district, you HAVE to vote for George Conway.
There are no other issues of consequence these midterms compared to fighting AGAINST Trumpism (authoritarianism), and FOR Democracy. Everything else you THINK is an issue, stems from that.
George is the most competent, knowledgeable candidate by far, who understands what Trump is, how to articulate it in the chamber AND in the public narrative, and he knows the legal side better than anyone - and we need him now.
Perhaps most important - George is THE candidate Trump MOST fears. As he should.
I believe, more than ever, Trump needs to be chided, insulted, and laughed at. His ability to let things go, is nil. We saw that this morning.
He's narcissistically battered, severely ill, and increasingly paranoid. He's consumed by rage, fear, malice, and impulsiveness inherent to his aberrant psychopathology. He's physically weakened by disease. His massive energy swings portend to increased medication to treat neurological diminishment. And his recalibration periods are longer.
He feels the sand exiting his hourglass.
He's distrusted and ineffective on the world stage, crazed by bad economic indicators at home, and panicky at the prospects of losing the midterms.
His math is 6th grade level - one grade above his vocabulary - as he keeps repeating idiocies. His myth is now being sustained only by gaslighting and puffery.
And when he is challenged, he comes off poorly. He is, like always, terrified of humiliation.
It's our collective obligation - Dems, Ind's, the media, business leaders, sane people - to challenge him more.
The election was not rigged - he lost.
America is not more respected under him, it's more reviled.
His war in Iran was strategically asinine. The deal he will be forced to make will be worse than Obama's.
Epstein is a massive cover-up.
His polls are in the toilet.
Celebs and artists want no part of him.
His name is toxic.
Nobody trusts him.
Multiple judges ruled that Alabama’s maps discriminated based on race. Yet the Supreme Court is bending over backwards to let them stand.
This court will do anything to help Republicans stay in power. No matter the cost.
They have lost all semblance of impartiality.
One hour ago, Republicans Thomas Massie, Warren Davidson, Tom Barrett, and Brian Fitzpatrick BROKE from Trump and voted with Dems. And lo and behold, the House passed a War Powers Resolution to rein in Trump’s war of choice in Iran by a vote of 215-208.
Trump is taking questions from reporters, and he is clearly unwell. He fidgeted a lot with a pen, he turned his head to the right and looked down, his voice trailed off on some of his answers. Something is not right with him, and whatever it is, it's being carefully covered up,
