@Jenny_1884 Our politicians (Cabinet Ministers, MPs, PMs etc.) should be squeaky clean with NO criminal record. They should set an example to the rest of us. We can't trust or respect criminals, we need upright, honest people in charge. Where they lead, others will follow...

@Glinner @YvetteCooperMP A child cannot consent to something like this until they are 18, surely? How many will later regret it once they mature? How many will turn on thier parents (who presumably will consent on their behalf) for child abuse?

@CarlBovisNature I loved the "Goodies" and admired him as a respected birder. His "Little Black Bird Book" (1980) (still have my copy) was an absolute classic! So sad to learn of his passing.😢

@Jenny_1884 I think he's wrong! Funny how he wanted a GE after Sunak(?) was brought in as PM with a lot more credibility than Burnham himself has... I still reckon something (war, plague or pestilence) will see the eventual GE postponed anyway. 😠

@Jenny_1884 So... our PM is going to divide his time between 2 "No. 10s", Manchester & London, presumably flying weekly between the two places to attend Parliament & hold his meetings with the King? Expensive, unnecessary & far from "Net Zero" the rest of us are supposed to believe in! 😳

@HarrisDebra21 2/2 It's not a "cosmetic" issue that you might be expected to pay for: it affects the child's speech and is a relatively simple procedure to correct. Mine was under a full General Anaesthetic in Great Ormond Street Hospital but I suspect it might not require that nowadays...

@HarrisDebra21 That's appalling! I had a tongue-tie which wasn't spotted until I was about 5, by the school dentist. I had already been humiliated by being made to stand on a chair & [try] to say "mother" over & over, when I couldn't. It was cut by the NHS, free, but that was c1960! 1/"

@Jenny_1884 How galling if you're in a 'hosepipe ban' area yet your water company is busy losing hundreds of gallons a day in leaks. Your roses have to stay dry while down the road there's plenty of water flowing down the drain!

@Togetherdec If I have to prove I'm over 16 by means of some digital ID to use social media, then I'm off social media for good. As an 'older' over-16(!) I managed perfectly well before social media arrived and will do so without it in future.

@TheGriftReport The Office of Britain's Prime Minister is close to the Houses of Parliament, in Westminster, London. The residence is in Downing Street. Has been for a very long time and has to stay that way! If he wants the job, he has to do it properly.
