Ik ben voor de fun begonnen met te experimenteren met advertentie-inkomsten op meerdere platformen (zowel het platform van Musk als Zuckerberg) en is na 2 maanden wel leuk om de data te zien. Enkele bemerkingen:

-Wat hier vaak viraal gaat, gaat elders vaak ook viraal. Pak de post over Frank Vandenbroucke. Ging zowel op Linked-In als op X als elders viraal met duizenden reacties over de verschillende platformen. Is zeldzaam dat op 1 platform iets wel werkt en op anderen niet.

- Veel geld krijg je er niet voor, maar opgeteld over de verschillende platformen levert een post je ongeveer 3 dollar per platform op gemiddeld.

- Soms heb je uitschieters. Voor 200.000 weergaven krijg je ongeveer 17 dollar aan inkomsten bij Zuckerberg. Bij X moeilijker te bepalen per post, maar reken op 3 dollar per dag.

- Zuckerberg is actiever in gamification. Zo krijg je wekelijks bonussen voor content te plaatsen. Gisteren eerste keer 20 dollar gekregen omdat twee posts 8000 views kregen. Dat zet aan om eerder gericht te posten en niet in kwantiteit.

- Payments variëren, reken op 0,11 dollar per 1000 views voor een foto. Ongeveer 50% van de views tellen niet mee vaak wegens herhaalde weergaven of accounts die kijken en restricted zijn.

-Zuckerberg betaald beter. Mijn account op x is 6 keer groter dan bij Zuckerberg, maar bedragen per maand zijn nu al gelijkaardig.

Zelf ben ik nog nooit zo inactief geweest op social media als nu. Maar is wel een leuk spel om op te volgen voor de fun. Geld gaat bij mij naar betalen van mijn verificatiebadge omdat ik zwaar onder vuur lig van fake accounts op al deze platformen, dus echt geld verdienen doe je er niet aan (2000 dollar per jaar en na kosten eerder 1000 dollar).

Maar vind het wel eens leuk om te delen. Denk niet dat veel mensen weten hoe dit systeem van advertentie-inkomsten werkt. Bij deze een blik achter de schermen.

Building a geologically accurate 510,072,000 km² open 3D Earth is no small feat, but we have laid the foundations & are looking ahead 🌏✌️

The combat mechanics we are currently designing, creating, and implementing not only matter for #Earth2 #Hordes but will also be used throughout different areas of #E2V1 long term. This includes things like the multiplayer system, character controllers, syncing, navigation mesh, animations, hotkeys, enemy units, enemy AI, health, mana, stamina, hunger, and many other systems needed to release a mini-game like Earth 2 Hordes.

So in the short term, the development of these systems not only contributes to providing our #Players with engaging experiences inside #E2V1 via our first mini-game, but also represents important progress we can & will use for future parts of the #Metaverse platform we’re building.

Although it's been challenging to manage alongside my other obligations, I’ve really enjoyed working on the game design for #Earth2Hordes so far. My goal is not only to expand on the utility of #Land, $ESS, and #Resources, but to ensure #Earth2Hordes is a mini-game that’s fun to play & maybe offer a few laughs along the way—challenging and engaging but not too serious.

Though it’s not part of the current footage, there is a specific feature I wanted which has already brought out a few chuckles during playtests, so I look forward to demoing that in future footage releases.

Some Rules

I cannot list ALL of the rules, but there are quite a few things entrants need to consider:

🔷in order to be selected you will need to provide detailed artwork from multiple angles so our #3D team can successfully model the design. Our concept artists also may alter designs where necessary to fit our #3D development pipeline.

🔷submissions will need to avoid any IP infringements and guarantee their work is their own. All #skins released by #Earth2 to date have been fully developed by our team from scratch following a very strict process from concept art to creation and we plan to maintain that approach.

🔷designs should be general proportion for female / male body types for now. Designs should also avoid situations that may cause excessive clipping in an animated / in motion 3D character (i.e no super puffy jackets, pants, loose clothing, other things that would cause excessive internal clipping). If you ignore these guidelines your submission will be skipped.

#Earth2 (#E2V1) is a 1:1 scale digital version of our planet Earth so given it's size, optimisations are key for us. This means there will be certain technical limitations on #skins and #clothing items. So over complicated designs or designs our team deem may cause optimisation issues will also be skipped.

Timeframe

It is important to note that #winners of this competition will not see their #skins released for at least another 2-3 months. Our team already has a number of other #community #skins they are currently working on in addition to some #Earth2 skins & items which are scheduled for release over the next 6-8 weeks.

Remember above all this is a fun thing! I'd much rather our team release #community #designed #skins, so even if your design isn't chosen you can still congratulate those that were chosen and try again next time!

Recorded on my laptop 50 mins ago, some footage of #Earth2's #WIP 510,000,000km2 geologically accurate #Metaverse, #E2V1, to be widely powered by $ESS 🌎✌️

This footage shows seamless navigation in a 1:1 scale virtual #Earth from space down to detailed biomes, geological accuracy, satellite image overlay, #Player owned properties, interactable / playable environments and so forth.

Development on this scale takes time, but we have set a good foundation and continue to make progress plus we have a few new exciting updates to share over the next couple of months. The early stage #prealpha testing is running behind schedule, but will be going ahead in #Q3. We do have a shortlist for that test but emails have not yet been sent out just yet.

I know a lot of people are watching the $ESS token closely, but as I mentioned a few times before it launched, we expected a number of #Players to sell, especially those who acquired their $ESS in the early days when it was easier to mine & then from the high #staking rewards that I said would never been seen again. But at the end of the day people sell for different reasons.

The #Web3 market is also taking a hit right now with $ETH and $BTC dropping over the past week, further dropping 5-6% over the past 24 hours. As you know, we are not in control of the pairing or pools, if the pool is linked to $ETH as opposed to a stable coin like $USDC, the movement of $ETH will also have an affect on $ESS, whether up or down. There are many well established coins with years of trading that are down 10-20% over the past week.

It is important to remember these are still very early days, we still have a lot of steps ahead of us and we are still actively building our flagship product, something I believe is going to develop into a very robust product built with the future in mind.

I am personally in #SanFrancisco for the event. I have a number of meetings setup with various individuals & companies I met online during #COVID who are out this way, but I will also be spending time around the #Earth2 #Booth as I like to be hands on & want to learn from people's feedback and reactions while finding out about #Earth2. Last night someone from #Meta saw the booth and came over for about 10 minutes asking questions, genuinely interested in what we are building.

Anyway, I try to be hands on when I can so I will be around - I will also have some merch prizes to give out to those who get high scores on the #minigames or are able to do a few trick shots with the #rocketlauncher + #rifle.

Unlike many game platforms I want to provide #Players with the ability to resell their digital items 🌍✌️ Does this affect our revenue? Yes, of course it does. It's one reason games don't allow reselling.

#GamingSkins alone are a #50billion dollar industry & they only want that money heading in one direction, but I think it's important a #Player online has that option much like you can resell a physical collectible toy or card. I also like to see it as a way we can mutually grow with #Players on our platform, providing an opportunity to enjoy in growth, success or mutual hard work together.

It is still early days, but this is part of what I am trying to build at #Earth2.

One important thing to note about #Earth2 #skins is not only the ability you'll have to resell it, but the opportunity #Players will have to customise via the #EcoSim and/or #gameplay.

So let's say you already have your #LimitedEdition #skin, you'll later be able to customise it further by crafting & tailoring, applying different fabrics, materials & colours to various elements on the #skin. This could, and probably will, result in many extremely rare or even 1 of a kind #skins depending on how hard the materials or items required for crafting are to get, introducing yet another avenue for #Players to potentially benefit from their time & effort on the #Earth2 #Platform.
