@ProgRuler Yes! I opened a home in an underprivileged area in Chicago to provide a higher social life, education, and philanthropic enterprises in 1889. I did a lot of work for this home up until the early 1900s where I was appointed to Chicago’s Board of Education in 1905.

There are so many dangers in a workspace, especially as a woman. I strive to work hard for protective legislation for woman and children so they are safe from certain hazards in a workspace #safespace

I believe that with a little bit of work and commitment from everyone, poverty can be dramatically reduced. For example, I reduced poverty by providing social service and education to the working class and immigrants. #equality
