There’s something I need to address I don’t think I would be building a wholesome community if I did not mention it And it’s this “Free” mindset This mentality that things should just be handed out to you for free I am riled up and amused all at once You want a training or coaching service that someone spent months and even years getting certified in to be free You want a book that someone spent months and years writing and millions of naira in publishing to be free Make it make sense The ones that even burst my head more the most are those that are genuinely shocked that there’s a price tag on services or products I’m going to hold your hands and say this till it registers in your spirit man Nothing in this life is free Even the salvation we claim is free is not. It cost Jesus His life. And it will cost you your interest, your appetite, your preference and so much more “Breast milk is free” is a false statement. It costs a woman more than even she can explain Mothers can testify Her breast tissues will never be the same She’s constantly dehydrated and exhausted Don’t get me started on the wild pain a lot of women face before and after they wean their child Covabodi festival was free to attend because someone else paid millions for it to hold I’m that someone. If you show up in church and see plush seats, air conditioning and superb sound system. It did not drop from heaven. Someone paid. And that’s why we pay tithe and offering because the church generator does not run on fruits of the spirit It runs on fuel and diesel which costs a pretty penny Canada and many European countries that we applaud work today and have thriving economies because the citizens and working class pay heavily. Thank God their government uses the tax well. But we pay. Every single thing is heavily taxed and that’s why the economy thrives A marriage that is healthy and works is very costly. It will cost you your ego, your pride and your narrow worldview. You would have to adapt, make room, adjust and be very flexible It’s ok if you cannot afford something in the moment Lord knows there’s so much I see and can’t afford. For some that are super important you would have to save up for Ask if there’s a payment plan I remember saving up for months to buy my first iPhone because I needed it for work. So that’s not a crime at all to not be able to afford right away But to show up expecting handouts and free stuff is a mindset that will keep us backward and not grow For everything good and even bad you pay. With money With time With effort With intellect For some, with your very life. Infact the only time you should be surprised is when someone claims what they are offering will cost you nothing If anything has ever been handed to you “free of charge”??? You best believe someone else paid the tab. Blessings.
