After ten months, I can’t wait to get back to my freelance assignments at the PG but only after this strike is settled and the owners of the paper are doing the right thing by the employees who are striking for equitable pay and benefits.
Noon today marks 4 months that about 40 of us have been on strike to stand up not only for ourselves but also for 60 other Pittsburgh news workers. We aim to make the PG better for all employees and customers and also to sustain local journalism. It's hard. But it's right.
Social media can be toxic (present company excluded), but it allowed one local woman to find 500 of her relatives.
On Saturday, more than 100 of them came to Western PA for a reunion.
