I am a Republican, and I am against President Trump's utterly stupid decision to halt continued and already appropriated military aid to Ukraine. Americans are upset, Europeans are upset, Ukrainians are upset.
This only helps Vladimir Putin, a genocidal dictator and murderer

@Gerashchenko_en All I know is that "usb" and ruzzia are not to be trusted. Greater chance to count on England and some other European countries. It all comes down to cooperating for the greater good. The future looks really grim right now.
I'm going to give you a very precise instrument of measuring the political climate in Ukraine.
Works 100%, I'm telling you.
So -- go to Kyiv's Kherschatyk Street and the Maidan Square and look at what's happening.
If you don't see literally a million people marching through downtown Kyiv under flags in what is very likely escalate into barricades and large-scale street fighting against armed riot police units -- it means Ukraine is having a legitimate democratic leadership that still generally has a public mandate on what it does, although it will be voted out when the time is right.
Trust me.
Been there, done that.
Twice.
Within a decade.
Trump, Vance & others either have forgotten or never knew that Zelensky signed a ceasefire agreement with Putin in 2019. Three years later, Putin launched his full-scale invasion. So, signing another ceasefire with no security guarantees feels like suicide for Ukrainians.

— Kaja Kallas, regarding Ukraine peace talks
After yesterday's events in the White House, Haltbakk Bunkers, one of Norway's largest marine fuel companies, appears to have announced that it will no longer refuel American Navy vessels.
Haltbakk has called on other European companies to refuse service to American forces.
Just FYI, here's the real reason why Russia has enshrined Ukraine's Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in its so-called "constitution"—despite not even controlling these regions—and why it keeps demanding that Ukraine surrender these cities as a "starting point" for "ceasefire talks" is purely strategic.
Russia’s military seeks to regain a foothold on the western bank of the Dnipro River, which it lost after Ukraine's decisive victory in the Battle of Kherson in November 2022. Re-establishing a presence there is critical for Russia's long-term plans.
A ceasefire would serve as a temporary pause—an opportunity for Russia to replenish its forces, consolidate control, and prepare for a renewed offensive. With a lodgment on the Dnipro’s western bank, the Kremlin would have the staging ground it needs to launch fresh attacks, pushing deeper into central Ukraine, as well as toward Mykolaiv and Odesa.
This isn’t about diplomacy; it’s about setting the stage for the next phase of their invasion.
Russia and Putin don’t want peace—they want war. And you don’t need to be a military expert to see their true intentions, judging by what they demand from Ukraine under the guise of a "ceasefire."
