"Uganda’s Helmet Crisis- Only 2% Passenger Compliance" https://t.co/QdLD3oxt10
Despite high motorcycle ownership rates, helmet use remains a concern. Only 69% of riders wear helmets, while 14% carry them but don’t wear them. Less safer helmets are the most popular among bodas.
I urge the Ugandan government to impose a substantial fine on individuals responsible for causing fatalities due to reckless driving. I propose a fine of 100 million Ugandan shillings as a form of accountability (Blood Money). Some drivers disregard the safety of others and show little concern for human lives. @Parliament_Ug

The T-junction at Ku Stellah Namasuba on the Kampala-Entebbe Highway is a death trap. I request that @UNRA_UG take action, as people are dying there. Rest in peace to the young lady and young man who lost their lives in today's careless driving. My condolences to their families.
@uganda_drivers press conference on revised speed limit regulations.
Did you know? Research shows that pedestrians hit at 30km/h have a 90% chance of survival, whereas those hit at 50km/h or higher have less than 10% chance of survival
Remember "Safety first-speed last"
Police stats show a 7% increase in road crashes, primarily caused by human factors. Today's discussion highlighted the importance of 30 km/h speed limits!
Thanks ROSACU for driving this initiative.
To all Road users- Speed may thrill, but it kills.
