Autistic imaginative procrastinator from 🇦🇺. 33yo. Easily irritated at times, not very good with words. IAYOR if you think "pro" is an abbrv of "problematic".
@bluechullobitch The solution is to just own it. Yes you're the cuntiest person in this chilli's, everyone is looking at you because you're too hot to be there. They should be grateful they get to see you at your best, the worms. Your presence is always a blessing, never a shame. Don't let em win
@aveliberata@danysreddoor@ottlo_ People have already told you that it's against ao3's tos and about the internet archive, but another cool thing is that there's a Minecraft world with a bunch of banned books. I just think it's neat to use Minecraft for the sake of preservation :D
@danysreddoor@ottlo_ We should probably use ao3 to do this for a lot of banned books that they are destroying and everyone should download the pdfs and print them. We are living in dystopian times. Time to be proactive
@RadPax There has been many since DA but most people don't give them a chance to take off. Cara and Artfol are just some examples. I think they couldve grown to be more robust if given a shot. Until then I think Toyhouse is the closest thing
@RadPax DA was perfect until Eclipse. The UI/UX update was terrible. And then of course the whole DreamUp/AI scandal really killed it afterwards.
I still have my account but it's pretty much an art archive now. It's just so hard to meet new people, you can't sort through art like before.
@RadPax And worse people POSTING STOLEN ART THEY JUST FOUND ON PINTEREST OR GOOGLE IMAGES and NOTHING is done about it. i remember dA used to be moderated like the NAVY
@RadPax they killed DA when they destroyed categories in exchange for hashtags and killed its search functionality and i swear to god a good 60% of all uploads in the past 2 years it is Listicle Autistics posting Screenshots Of Things and not actual art anymore
@RadPax@Corpuluspawws The benefit of DeviantArt is how "beginner" friendly it felt. It was a very casual place to post your art, and it was very nice.
ArtStation doesn't have that casual vibe to it at all, and is mostly a place to find professional work imo
We really need an Artist specific site/app again like DeviantART
Yes DA still exist but no one uses it and honestly it's pretty dead
It'd be nice if we had one that filtered out AI too 💔 but I miss having an art community
