@parkrunUK Being out early to do the event day course check at @HovePromparkrun is an absolute pleasure on days like this! ππ Followed by a good run of jog/walk intervals on my way back from injury ... great way to start the day
@UKRunChat I have poor peripheral vision so it's all about good lighting and avoiding anything that's going to leap out and bite me ... potholes, tree branches, pavements etc. Also not too busy but busy enough that someone will notice and (hopefully) help if I do fall foul of pothole etc
On & off the injury bench since last summer, here we go again with baby steps back towards fitness. Jeffing 90:30 intervals even slower than usual! Great to be out on the Prom early doors again ... I've missed you, sunrise! π πππββοΈ

Fabulous morning at the #Reunion5k, amazing & a bit emotional to be joining hundreds of other runners under fairly normal race conditions. Strict Covid testing and good organisation made it possible, huge thanks to all involved. Plenty of #parkrun apricot in attendance too!πββοΈ
Very much in reflective "fresh start" mode this morning after attending the funeral of a dear friend yesterday. Life's too short to miss the sunrise. Interesting trying to run into that wind too! π πββοΈ #absentfriends#sunriserun#StormChristoph
On the Prom early doors this morning with a busy day ahead ... had forgotten how beautiful a sunrise run can be! Must get back into the habit of the early start πββοΈπ
Perfect running weather for my virtual #Rise8k this morning. And a new 8k PB ... pleased with that, sub-60 looks like it might be in sight soon! Thank you @riseuk for all the great work you do in our area π
A wet Prom for this morning's #notparkrun ... and an absolute pleasure to catch up with some familiar faces for a socially distanced post-(not)parkrun coffee. Fantastic to see real faces again after all that Zooming! @martin_kath
A nice running memory... 3 years ago today I excitedly received my race pack for the 2017 Rise 8k, my first chip-timed race! Sadly this year's event will be virtual, but I'll be on that virtual start line in the t-shirt along with lots of others to support @riseuk πββοΈπββοΈ
The Brighton Marathonβs βEditβ is taking place on the same day as our 8K! We need to recruit 150 runners this week for the race to be financially viable.
Please do all you can to help by signing up and sharing the event. https://t.co/xgQT99pnMs
Thank you for your support β€οΈ
An exciting weekend in my @myvmission virtual LEJOG Challenge ... I turned the corner! It's all uphill from here! Nice #notparkrun on Hove Prom yesterday, followed by a country walk today in the (mostly) sunshine πββοΈπΆββοΈπ
A day of 2 halves. In Ramsgate for the weekend & determined to run on the beach! High tide ... soft sand ... and RAIN!!! Got my 5k done tho ππ§πββοΈAfter a spot of drying out, a return to the same beach, sunshine & a swim. Never can tell with our lovely British weather! πβ±πββοΈπ
Hi @Great_Run, is there any chance of an update on the Great East Run soon please? Really keen to know if I need to keep dragging myself out in this scorchio weather to train! ππ π₯΅ Thanks
@HovePromparkrun Happy birthday! ππ Hove Prom parkrun has completely changed not only my Saturday mornings, but also a big chunk of my life. Never imagined I could be a runner, not even a slow one! Looking forward to when we can all be back together again πββοΈπβ
@stusykes A couple of post office trips but otherwise the same here. Had to do a small food shop yesterday, hated it! Pubs were open, loads of people around, it was like this thing has gone away. Preferred it during full lockdown when most people were being careful.
@LauraEllenJones Had a cataract op just before lockdown and was told not to run for a month or so. Since then have been frantically trying to get back to fitness but the training is still interspersed with too much slobbing around doing nothing so I'm not seeing the results I'd like! π
