Like a still-suit from the movie Dune, water is constantly recycled between the earth and atmosphere. In fact it can be said we drink the same water our ancestors once did. @StateNRMProgram
Check out Mike's connection to a stream running through his property in South West Western Australia.

Tune in to Harvey Community Radio 96.5FM Saturday mornings at 9:00AM to listen to River Connections. This coming Saturday is part 2 of a 3 part interview with Dr Jatin Kala, Senior Lecturer in Atmospheric Science and Earth Systems Science at Murdoch University.
Intrepid hydrologist Pete Muirden has been hard at work measuring flow and collecting data from field loggers in the Harvey River. Fantastic work from a passionate hydrologist. Thanks Pete. #marronmorethanameal
It's important to celebrate the small things in life. A trip to a project site along the Harvey River led to the discovery of a freshwater mussel, a native conostylis in flower, and the remains of something's meal (possibly Rakali). Hopefully the Rakali doesn't spot the mussel.
For anyone wanting a sensory experience this film is a must watch. It explores the connection we have to rivers and the impact of our activities. It's now available to watch on ABC iview https://t.co/OeDs7jysA1.
The #marronmorethanameal program celebrates the many groups that work hard to protect, enhance, and connect waterway habitats within the Harvey River catchment. South West Adult Community Corrections is one such group. Supported by @StateNRMProgram
The beauty of multi-stakeholder partnerships is shared skills, resources, and passion. Thanks Bunbury Corrective Services for all your help to improve habitat in the Harvey River. #marronmorethanameal
The @watercorpwa South West Drainage Services team and @DWER_WA Healthy Rivers team provided advice and direction when installing habitat logs into the Harvey River. Project work is much simpler when sharing resources with multiple partners. #Marronmorethanameal
Freshwater Cobbler or Moo-yut generally live in deeper areas of rivers and lakes, close to the bottom. They can grow to a length of 50 cm and like to live in areas with complex habitat (lots of logs, rocks, and ledges at the base of river banks). #marronmorethanameal
A pre-restoration survey of fish and crayfish within the Harvey River by @FreshFishMurd will help determine if log placement within a modified section of the river improves fish and crayfish numbers over time. #marronmorethanameal
An example of multi-stakeholder partnerships to protect, enhance, and connect freshwater habitats. @DWER_WA Healthy Rivers team have provided expert advice and resources in design, implementation, and monitoring of habitat structures within the Harvey River. marronmorethanameal

Short back and sides anyone? In preparation for revegetation this year 800 meters of stream bank was mowed. The intent was to create a space to plant chemical free. Maintenance will definitely be an ongoing process! #marronmorethanameal
