💙🤍 SKIPPER APPROACHES 50 NOT OUT 💙🤍 Saturday will see skipper Craig Gott reach a milestone with his 50th appearance for Redcar Town. Craig’s been a superb example for all at the club with his professionalism, dedication, and leadership, and after leading us to the Northern League Division 2 title last season, he deservedly scooped all the Player of the Season awards at the club, plus gaining league recognition with their award, too. When the team has needed him, he’s always stepped up. Who can forget those goals against Jarrow? Or the countless immaculate performances at the heart of our defence? A true great of the Northern League, we’d like to thank Gotty for all his efforts in the blue and white and hope for many more unforgettable moments to come. 🟦⬜️ 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣, 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧, 𝙇𝙚𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙙 🟦⬜️ 👨‍✈️ What can we say about our skipper Craig Gott that does justice to the influence he has had this season? 🏆 For a player who has won just about every honour in local semi-professional football to buy into this season the way he has been incredible. 🌲 Our evergreen captain has started an incredible 41 league games and finished 40 of them, not bad for someone 36 years old, proving age is just a number. 🍟 When the chips have been down, it’s Gotty who has invariably been the one to pull us through. 👨🏻‍🏫 It’s not just Craig’s own performances that have been exceptional, but he’s helped improve and been a mentor for the young players in the team. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Craig’s family have become regulars home and away, dad Mark, mam Victoria, partner Jane, sons Jacob, who has a wand of a left foot, and Isaac, sharing his special moments from the stands. 🗣️ Joint Manager Mitch Morris: “Gotty has been superb for us all season. There were a lot of naysayers when we signed him, saying we wouldn’t get more than ten games from him, but we never had a moment’s doubt about bringing him in. We knew he was the key signing we had to make to bring this season all together. He’s been top quality on and off the field, set the standards, and pulled us through when our backs have been against the wall. Top lad and really bought into what we’ve wanted to do. Honestly, can’t speak highly enough of him.
