@gravedetective Sgt William John Cahill`s house, he apparently named the cottage. Served with 1st Bn LNLR then Tank Corps, lost his leg late on in the war, discharged 1918 and then became caretaker and librarian in the museum at the Barracks. His WW1 medals are (or were) on display in the museum
Ahead of VE Day on Thursday 8th May, the refurbished Roll of Honour wall behind Chorley & District War Memorial in Astley Park, is now complete and clear for people to view. It looks great.
