I've been an RN for 30 years, starting my career doing research with AIDS. This pandemic is entirely different. At work I've been punched, kicked, spit on, pts. have thrown literally shit at me. I've had my life threatened. Antivaccers and antimaskers are a greater threat now.

@CpAchieve I invented a brace that kids with CP walk out of to live brace free. Also took a different approach to PT and OT and my son is now an elite runner having gone to Jr. Worlds and qualified for paralympic trials!!! He has triplegic CP. Holds the Americas record in the 800 and 1600.

@atthecrosswalk I don't understand why it matters. I have a son with triplegic cerebral palsy and we treat him normally, but we also talk about his disability. I guarantee you he would rather be referred to as disabled rather than special needs. He's an elite runner going to the paralympic trial

What's wrong with this picture? Athletes that train for the olympics and paralympics spend a lifetime doing just that. Why when it comes down to the trials are they split regarding where they race and choose the team? The Olympians go to Oregon, the Parlympians go to Minnesota.

My son has triplegic cerebral palsy. He has qualified for the paralympic trials. He asked me why the olympic athletes run in Oregon on an incredible track and they put the disabled on a high school track in Minnesota. It is a great question, why the difference?

I invented a brace that children with cerebral palsy can walk out of, he is now ranked 8th in the world and 2nd in the US in track. I have a unique approach to therapy that's effective.
