I was walking close to the edge of a cliff with my autistic son.
“I feel a bit scared about falling off here.”
“Don’t be silly Mum, you can’t fall off cos you weigh too much.”
But 2 passersby stopped me in my tracks exclaiming: “This is where Bob fell!”
@JManrara As a mother and retired Nursery teacher I know how hard it is to leave your child when they are crying but they're just showing that they love you. 99x out of 100 they stop before you get to the school gate and love their time at Nursery with their friends

When the police came to my rescue they arrested my “mother” and “sisters”. A kind policeman wrapped me in a blanket covering my tattered clothes. Now I sleep in a bedsit like a palace, have a paying job, and today, my policeman said to me: “Cindy I love you”

She promised herself that was the last time she would use her powers on a mere boy. She grabbed Kai’s hand and pressed the golden key into his sweating palm. Sparks flew! He cried out with pain, but now knew he could unlock his impossible family mysteries.
@BBCRadioDrama I am a bit late catching up on BBC Sounds but congratulations on Orwells 1984. The brilliant readers brought one of my favourite books to life. Quality broadcasting.

Kai circled his finger inside the hollow tree he shared with Freya, recalling how the action soothed him in the past. Upset or worried, he retrieved his secret log from under the bed, felt its rough texture, drank the woody smell, counted the rings of age.

Ava was fed up listening to Freya on the phone to John. Her best friend giggled and blushed. A thought popped into Ava's head- was it HER John? She saw red, snatched the phone and heard a sonorous voice singing a love song. OK, her John was tone deaf.

Leaving our 1950s council house behind for good, I recalled a trolley ride down the narrow street when the ribbons of my yellow dress caught in the back wheel and almost strangled me and the pain when a bee stung my palm while I did a handstand on the grass.
@jonmosesvocals So sorry Jon for your pain. I found an excellent Pilates teacher when waiting for a hip replacement and back issues and found the exercise halved my pain. A gentle stroll round the block twice a day is good too. Enjoy your girls.

My goal in my 70th year is to finish (at last!) editing and querying agents for my MG fantasy novel I began in 2009. As an ex SEN teacher, my passion was to encourage boys to be excited by reading and that is still my mission.

She mounted the steaming dragon formed from the children’s breath but was knocked off by something flying past. Her arms flailed, she was heading for disaster when she heard a Whoosh! Maya grabbed hold of something hard and hairy that dangled down.

Just got round to listening to the brilliant Fault Lines series with Glenda Jackson on Radio 4. Congratulations to all involved. Wonderful acting from the sadly missed Dame. Definitely worth a listen on the I Player.
Max surveyed the flab spilling over his ragged trunks, then at the distant buoy. His rival flexed his honed abs above expensive Speedos. Jon glanced anxiously at the Lifeguard. He'd won Abi. Max settled for her sister but was going to win the race. @cbcreative#WriteCBC
@cbcreative@BonnieGarmus “Oh for God’s sake! What’s up with the car? My Head will go spare.”
“Hi darlin, I’m your knight in shining armour. Get the bonnet open and I’ll fix you up, then you can fix me up too,” he winked.
She smiled and got a crowbar from the boot.
“I think not, actually”. #WriteCBC
