🇸🇮 Slovenia’s justice and interior ministers resign over deadly assault
Slovenia's Justice Minister Andreja Katič and Interior Minister Boštjan Poklukar resigned after a 48-year-old man was beaten to death by several Roma outside a bar in Novo Mesto, emphasizing personal responsibility.
Police arrested a 20-year-old suspect in connection with the incident, in which the victim suffered fatal head injuries, reports RTV Slovenia.
President Nataša Pirc Musar requested an extraordinary session of the State Assembly, while opposition leader Janez Janša called for a meeting in Ljubljana to address the unresolved Roma issue.
Jožek Horvat Mutz, President of the Roma Community Council in Slovenia, condemned all violence and expressed condolences to the victim’s family.
