Last night, we welcomed over 200 clients, referrers, and professional contacts to Chartered Accountants Hall, One Moorgate Place, for an evening of discussion and analysis around our latest thought leadership report, hosted by Martin Clapson.

Bridging the Divide: MPs and Business Leaders Survey 2025

The report highlights the divide between MPs and business leaders on issues such as tax policy, economic priorities, and reform, with insights from over 700 business leaders and 100 MPs.

A huge thank you to Alastair Campbell for his candid and thought-provoking talk on leadership, communication, and accountability and for responding to Chand Chudasama's challenging questions.

There was brilliant engagement from the audience with business leaders, university students and professionals from across sectors, including finance and banking, legal and professional services, science and technology, education, and the not-for-profit sector, asking some really good and tough questions.

Price Bailey Charity Day 2024 💚

Last Thursday, we hosted our annual charity day to raise funds for the 24-hour emotional support charity @samaritans, our charity of the year, with the firm matching donations up to £50,000 which will be shared between Samaritans and local charities. Here are some highlights from the day. 👇

The day was packed with fun activities, including the much-anticipated Office Olympics, bake sales, tombolas, table tennis tournaments, scavenger hunts, James Elvin's quiz and more! Each of our offices added its own unique touch to the day, contributing to a fantastic atmosphere as we came together across the firm to raise funds and awareness for Samaritans, our charity of the year and other local worthwhile causes. Samaritans support anyone struggling to cope. Its 22,000 trained listening volunteers are located in over 200 branches and locations across the UK and Ireland, along with 1,300 trained listener volunteers in prisons. The work of the organisation provides critical support to those in a time of crisis, struggling to cope or at risk of suicide, often through its 24/7 telephone helpline.

Charlotte Waters, our Resourcing Advisor at Price Bailey, attended the House of Commons today to receive an award on behalf of the firm for being listed as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer.

The Rt Hon Jacqui Smith, Baroness Smith of Malvern and Minister of State (Minister for Skills) addressed the event and congratulated employers via video message from the World Skills 2024 event in France.

Charlotte said she was "Honoured to be attending a lunch to celebrate being one of the country's Top Apprenticeship Employers."
