QVc tell me why a courtesy call from me keeping you informed has to be such a big deal my information was correct and concise however yet another moronic C.S. employee who has to call someone else for help..What a waste of my time
๐ฃ Our Chief Executive, Alison Barnes, had the pleasure of meeting seasoned walker John Scott as he passed through the New Forest on an extraordinary journey.
John is taking on the Slow Ways National Parks Challenge โ a 2,300-mile walking route connecting all 15 of the UKโs National Parks, along with the worldโs first National Park City, London.
Having set off on foot from Southampton that morning, John met Alison at Brockenhurst railway station to mark an impressive milestone โ 450 miles into his journey. The New Forest is the third National Park he has visited so far, and his first time here.
The challenge follows the Slow Ways National Parks Trail, part of a wider citizen-led initiative to create a walking network linking towns, cities and some of the UKโs most treasured landscapes.
John is undertaking the challenge as a personal milestone, aiming to complete the route over six months while taking time to fully experience the places he passes through.
Dan Raven-Ellis, Founder of Slow Ways, said, โOur National Parks are simply some of the best and most inspiring parts of the UK - so how wonderful to go on an adventure to join them all up! The Slow Ways National Parks Trail is being developed by dozens of volunteers from across the country, all helping to suggest and check its 253 route-legs that cover 3,719km (2,311 miles). With John being the first to attempt to walk the whole trail in one go, I hope lots of people will be inspired to follow in his footsteps.โ
