Monday Night Movie Thoughts, Part I:
"Moana 2" was fine. Pretty good, even! It's not the original, but it was never going to be and didn't need to be.
Lots of heart, but felt like every problem they faced got solved REALLY quickly. Could have used a slightly longer runtime.
Oh goodness, DreamWorks is getting in on this trend too. There's a live action remake of "How to Train Your Dragon" on the way. That movie isn't even that old!
Heck, the BOOK the first movie was based on is barely 20 years old. Who's asking for these remakes?
Side thought: during the previews there were three different Disney movies I said "Why does this even exist?" to. The 'live action' Mufasa movie coming next week, a live action "Snow White" remake and a live action "Lilo & Stitch" remake.
Like, just why?
Monday Night Movie Thoughts, Part I:
"The Wild Robot" was really something special, and I'm glad I finally made time to catch it before it left theaters.
Monday Night Movie Thoughts, Part II:
Is "Red One" going to be a Christmas classic? No. Was it a lot of fun anyway? Yes!
Does exactly what it says on the box: The Rock and Chris Evans save Christmas by punching things. Good times.
