I am having great difficulty writing this through my tears, but, I feel, I have to inform you, with immense sadness, that my Janis passed away at 23:10 on Saturday 28thMarch, at home, as she had wanted after a month’s gruelling stay in hospital for oesophageal cancer which had spread to her spine and lungs. A five-month course of Immunotherapy was unsuccessful for her. Janis’ sister and myself held her hands as she went.

Hi Both, haven't responded because I'm ill. Have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer despite never having drunk alcohol or smoked . They said I had a few months to live but I'm still here a year later. Taking alternative meds which stopped it growing and now getting immunotherapy. Another fight unfortunately. Hope you two are doing ok. Much love Janis xx

Gutted to hear that amazing Scottish journalist, wonderful man and good friend #DuncanCampbell has died. Our hearts go out to his equally wonderful wife #JulieChristie who has lost her soulmate. Both fighters against injustice, famed for taking on the establishment and standing up for humans and animals alike. Fitting tribute below: https://t.co/Zzw9WWiCVV
