A new report by the UN Human Rights Council's Working Group on discrimination against women and girls finds that:

*criminalisation of sexwork, clients, and third parties is harmful

*sexwork should be decriminalised

*sexworkers should be guaranteed all human and labour rights

@dbseymour When you make blanket statements against an entire institution and all the ppl within it there’s a problem. HRCs are essential human rights infrastructure @the world. You’re not talking about appointing people you want in there, you’re talking about shutting it down.

@PaulHayes63 Human Rights Commissions all around the world are recognised as being critical watchdogs and promoters of human rights. Governments that I’ve seen threatening them or undermining them seemed to want to silence dissent/challenge.
