Today, I came across these horses while transcribing. I like how you can clearly see that the same template was used for all three of these horses. (British Library: C 11 C 15) #Buchwissenschaft#Bookstudies#Unimainz#OCR-D #FGR
I'm unfamiliar with this. Is this a caxton-thing or rather a thing from his region? Are there examples in manuscript?
I noticed Wynkyn the worde doing the same here and there, but not this frequently.

Question:
I'm transcribing this edition of reynart the fox printed by Caxton and I noted, that he uses round r to start words with. It is not because he was running out of the other r's. He is still yousing them.

Very important information, when writing 'Narrin' on somebody's forehead, use Fraktur or 'Schachtel-Buchstaben' #OCR#FontGroupRecognition#JGU https://t.co/Z9Ox4bLPGu
