@mcewan_janiel How many small firms really getting these contracts? Bcuz if we hav lets say 1000 small businesses &only 50 are getting all the contracts, then is it some but not most of small businesses..another thing, for all these singl source contracts, how we know we got value for money?

@JordanCrosskill The GoJ increased the threshold for single source procurement last year, also increasing contract value needing oversight from PPC with the justification for "speeding up things and reducing bureaucracy"..yet spent majority of last year still blaming procurement for everything

@HoneyTk @JamaicaGleaner Well it said there single source award, which means no bidding took place, only that 1 contractor was invited price. Check the PPC website, they have all GoJ registered contractors. Threshold for single source contracts was increased to $5M last year July by the GoJ.

Andrew/Dana : We didn't know about Digi Building. It didn't come to Cabinet, it went through NLA ( in the OPM ).

Major Ambassador General Commissioner CEO : Ready to start on Nov 1 ( can be assumed that he knew the building ).

Aubyn : Any amount over 60M goes to the Cabinet.

@876jacitizen @gavinmyaz subcontracting thing is one of the problem..Grade 1 man dem no honest, so lot of lower Grade contractors dont want to get burn like during Beryl..alot of capable Grade 2 n 3 contractors were not engaged, think sharing of the work, to respective grade would hav better results
