The Japanese media is desperately pushing OpenAI as news, rather than reporting on services like Grok. They only run stories like this when it’s particularly inconvenient for them. It’s obvious which one is easier to use. The Japanese media favors apps that cater to China over the more impartial Grok.
@elonmusk While they obey Chinese laws, Chinese people don’t follow local laws at all when they go abroad. They think they can get away with anything in places like the U.S. or Japan because they won’t be sentenced to death, so they treat those laws with contempt.
In China, entering Beijing is like entering a foreign country. It has effectively become the “State of Beijing.” Even though it is part of the same country, it is surrounded by fences and subject to security measures akin to those at a national border. China is invading South Korea by dispatching its public security police and other forces to maintain order there. While some claim that the South Korean president requested this, the country is effectively being turned into a vassal state.

@elonmusk@america There’s no need to give criminals excessive privileges. Providing them with just enough to survive is sufficient. They act out because we give them extra food and entertainment. Just look at China—people there survive even if they can’t move. We shouldn’t waste tax money.
