Booting up the PS4 for the first time in ages so I can try the only game I have: God of War. Once I finish or give up playing it, I can get rid of the console to free up some shelf space :D
@TokyoDan Nope, no backup :( I think I rescued everything important except all the graphics and Steam assets for Shisensho. That’s a real bummer. Lesson learned! I’ve just started a trial of BackBlaze for cloud backups.
Given up on fixing my hard drive. The biggest loss was all the assets for Shisensho Solitaire. I also lost my downloaded Steam games, and now I have no space to download them again. Ha.
@daiseikaiotoko I’ve put it in the cupboard now, but maybe I’ll take it out in the middle of summer and try again then 😁. It’s full of “bad sectors” which usually means it’s dead. Thanks, though!
I managed to (5hrs later) get Windows to see the drive, but it’s permanently spinning at 100% usage. Still, if I’m super patient, I can pull off the most important stuff.
Wow. My hard drive has died and I’ve lost so much stuff. Crazy thing is I just backed up all my important files yesterday... to a different folder on the same drive. 🤦♂️
@GetySean @reixi2525@Steam One could argue that they were ordered my how many nominations they got, but I think you’re probably right. I’d guess tons of players hadn’t even played the nominated games and picked the first ones just to get the trading cards.
It was only 6 years ago tonight that I discovered PC gaming. My wife and son were at the in-laws while I stayed home on New Year’s Eve. I plugged the PC into the TV and booted up Tomb Raider 2013. It blew me away!
Using Steam Collections, I’m making a year of monthly game bundles for myself, from games I already own. For example,
JANUARY: Bloody Rally Show, Desperados 3, Finding Paradise, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Overcrowd and SpaceChem.
So it’s like a free subscription. :)
My Games of the Year list:
[Released and played in 2020]
- Shapez(dot)io
- Krumit’s Tale
- Being a DIK
- Factorio
- Desperados 3
[Older, but first played in 2020]
- Parkitect
- Dishonored
- Sekiro
- A Plague Tale: Innocence
- Acting Lessons
And so many more!
Alright, so I added up the cost of the 90 (!!!) games I bought in 2020 and the damage is ¥132,080, which is $1,279. I’m really disappointed in myself, but look forward to spending FAR LESS in 2021.
