In 2020, @TheLancet reported that Japan has one of the lowest rates of #vaccine confidence in the world due to allegations of harm in the past. Many thanks to Drs. Gordon and Reich for discussing how a "constellation of policy, politics, and public opinion" has shaped reactions.
Despite the timing of the #Tokyo2020 closing ceremony, the IOC refused to allow any commemoration of the bombings of either Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Thanks to @gwynjapan for discussing how local residents saw this as a missed opportunity to focus the world's attention on the #TPNW.
