🚨 WAS YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO'S PITCH SELECTION BEING TIPPED OFF?
An intriguing report has emerged following Yamamoto's difficult outing against the Brewers in NLCS Game 2.
According to David Vassegh, a reporter for Dodgers radio station AM 570, multiple MLB players reached out during the game, questioning whether the Brewers knew what pitches Yamamoto was throwing.
Milwaukee's hitters certainly showed a patient approach.
Jake Bauers battled through a 12-pitch at-bat before drawing a walk.
Yamamoto threw 75 pitches in just 2⅔ innings before being pulled from the game.
Of course, this doesn't prove that his pitches were being tipped. There is also no confirmed evidence of wrongdoing by the Brewers.
But if Milwaukee had identified patterns or subtle tells in Yamamoto's delivery, that would be a significant factor worth examining.
In the postseason, even the smallest detail can make the difference between winning and losing.
Still, Yamamoto is not a pitcher who can be figured out that easily.
If opponents are studying him this closely, I believe he has the ability to adjust and come back even stronger.
I can't wait to see him silence the doubters with his next outing.
Dodgers fans, what do you think?
Were the Brewers reading Yamamoto's pitches, or were they simply having outstanding at-bats?
