What it is:

"FLOOR is a treasury that turns trading activity into assets. One contract collects the creator fees a token already earns, converts them into tokenized equities, and splits every purchase in two — half reserved for holders to claim, half backing the token itself"

Why?

An interesting, experimental protocol that creates a floor value for the token, backed by redeemable tokenized equities that any user can burn, setting a lower limit on the token price.

The protocol lives by the trading fees. A twist on the standard 'buy tokenized equities with fee revenue that the likes of Index provide.

RISK: harder to understand for the average person. The narrative may not be as easily consumable on 'why' someone should use this or buy the token. A lot of these 'share trading fees back as tokenized stock buybacks' platforms are popping up on Robinhood. To stand out, you have to do something exceptionally unique.

To me, this platform is kind of like @TheIndexFi, but with none of the users or attention and more guardrails against a token collapse due to the floor protection scheme.

Currently around ~400k. If it gains more attention, it could shoot up. To really catch on, though, I believe the protocol would need to add more expansive features. I took a bid given the price and the clever idea to use tokenized stocks to backstop the token.
