1:12 is where my concern with how Roch’s stance and leg kick will play. If feels like Paulie is being nice about it the leg kick when he switches the messaging to head movement. If not, Roch’s head movement seems fine.
@HBreak8898 Again, it’s the stance into the leg kick that concerns me. Not just the leg kick itself. And again, I’d happily be wrong or have my opinion changed with more edu. on why the wide stance and transition won’t be a problem. Vargas and Mune don’t require the same pre-swing mechanics.
@HBreak8898 Yea, I’m not arguing that he can’t hit a 93ish mph fastball. It’s more of a concern that they’ll have to make bigger changes to his stance than most probably think.
And if you end up there, you should probably take the guy that has less changes and are confident you can develop
@ball_knower100@thegreatgazzi Yea, watching it I remember thinking “Vaughn is giving too much ‘I do x because’ vs just listening to an expert”.
Paulie knows enough about hitting to watch your swing and tell you what you should do… just do what he says.
@Noahp245 I think people are slightly off on Roch’s timeline. I don’t see him in the bigs in ’27 unless he’s rushed.
Both have development left. I trust the Sox player dev more now than ever, so either can work. I just think they can unlock enough juice to make Emerson worth it.
