As a site manager for an early voting site in Nassau County last year, I had probably 100+ people demand to know why the NYC mayor race wasn't on their ballot.
How many people in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Culver City and Calabasas are feeling shocked to discover that Spencer Pratt isn't on their ballots right now?
It just took me almost 4 hours to get to Lincoln Center from Plainview. The worst part was the Nassau County bus to Jamaica. Having to change to stay on the same line with no warning and no functioning air conditioning. Brought to you by the guy that “would do it better”
The LIRR strike did not have to happen. Kathy Hochul had months to work with union leaders and reach a fair deal.
Instead, Hochul treated the workers like they were disposable. She brought in out-of-state workers to cross picket lines during a nurses' strike.
She sent the National Guard to break a corrections officers' strike.
When I’m Governor, labor will finally have an ally in the Governor’s mansion.
@NassauExec You screwed CSEA and it resulted in a court case. Weird way to define labor peace or respecting your workers as you tried to rip them off their health insurance.
Blakeman is literally blocking a vote in the Nassau County Legislature to do this. When it comes to Blakeman, words don't matter. He didn't lower taxes in 2021, in fact he raised them. Watch how he acts, not what he says to code himself as common sense. https://t.co/5IdPugoStW
I stand with Bruce Blakeman @NassauExec and Leader Ra @NYRACC in calling on the State to suspend Congestion Pricing and to also create a gas tax holiday during the strike. New Yorkers need a break.
Spent the day on the Upper West Side talking to our neighbors about how the state comptroller should be working to help lower their costs, and how that’s exactly what I plan to do.
@ItsTanbirC I don't think I've ever seen two campaigns so clearly pandering while ignoring half the people they want to vote for them and I lived through George Santos live.
@RajGoyle@TomDiNapoli It's a shame that while Tom has spent 20 years growing the pension fund to double what it was when he took over while dealing with 2008 and 2020 you were voting against abortion rights in Kansas yet are trying to trick voters that you are the progressive choice.
@NassauExec@KathyHochul You are sitting on almost 100 million earmarked for support for people with addiction that Laura Curran won in a settlement and instead of supporting those people who need it, you tried to take 14 million to offset your out of control county reserve spending.
Blakeman has been sitting on almost 100 million dollars from an opioid settlement from his predecessor and instead of using it, he raided 14 million to the county general fund to offset his mismanaged budget until the legislature Democrats forced him to return it.
.@KathyHochul is sitting on billions of YOUR money.
While working New Yorkers struggle to pay utility bills, she's been building a green-energy slush fund through her own energy agency, collected straight from your paycheck.
When I am Governor, I will take that money back and return every dollar to the people it belongs to. In Nassau, we cut taxes. We didn't hoard them.
@JonCampbellNY 10/10 location for the photoshoot though. Never even thought about that being a prime location for photos. One of the most beautiful buildings I can think of.
The electoral college was specifically created to stop smaller states with massive amounts of slavery from being outvoted by the big cities that had massive abolitionist movements, but okay.
Hillary didn’t ‘beat’ Trump. There is no national popular vote for President. We hold 50 separate state elections. The Electoral College was deliberately designed by the Founders TO STOP a handful of big cities/coasts from ruling the rest of the country.
We’re a constitutional republic, not a pure democracy, exactly to avoid tyranny of the majority.
People who don’t understand that are precisely why we still need it. Idiots.
@stefen_rosner Future captain, likely lifelong islander, almost definitely going up to the rafters cup or not with the trajectory of his career. Cannot believe we are going to get potentially 2 decades of watching him on the island.
Can't do much better than @TomDiNapoli has done for the hardworking employees that keep our state and towns running when he has doubled the pension fund to protect their benefits through common sense fiscally responsible good governance.
The cavalry is not coming. The cavalry is us.
On Point of Learning with Peter Horn, I shared how after 20 years of the same person in the same seat, we have got to do it different for the working New Yorkers who deserve better.

This is the most ridiculous line of attack because law firms at that size donate all over the place and there is no evidence that they have actively influenced Tom who was one of the lead advocates for a public matching funds program to level the playing field with grassroots.
A comptroller’s decisions about whether to sue a company should be made on the merits. Not about a pipeline where law firms are pitching cases and then, in return, giving financial contributions to a campaign.
@drewforny I'll add Buffalo City Council to the offices you are running for this year instead of Comptroller while being on the ballot for Comptroller.
@RajGoyle Like any hedge fund, I don't have to like every investment. Public employees love him because he has protected the pension fund. Forgive me if I am not going to take virtue signaling of progressivism from someone that bragged about voting with Reps 80% of the time in Kansas.
Tom DiNapoli uses the power of the comptroller's office effectively yet his opponents who are running for comptroller on a platform of issues that have nothing to do with the comptroller's office can only lie to make one of the great elected officials look bad. Vote for Tom!
I have never taken money from Palantir and never will. And despite what my opponents claim, NY does not fund ICE.
My office has called out Palantir for its actions that run contrary to our values and create potential shareholder risk, and we will continue to do so.
"The answer is the state comptroller" on a policy matter when the State Comptroller has absolutely no jurisdiction of policy matters. Go back to Kansas where you voted with the republicans by your own words 80% of the time instead of pretending to represent progressive values.
Data centers are everywhere in NY. @TimKnauss asks: “As big-money players move in, who will look out for New Yorkers?” The answer should be the State Comptroller. But the incumbent is asleep at the wheel. I will change that on day 1.
