@DJAceNBA I guess Shamet relocates and finds seams in D better, and a slightly more consistent shooter. I guess you are right. Both show burst and power at the rim. Both very good at point of attack D but struggle with size. Age diff doesn’t matter to me based on roles. Great deal NYK.
@elliotsteinmetz Also, against this defense, you are not getting a better Brunson shot once the help loads up after one more dribble, or once Wemby gets one step closer. He has to give it up or pull immediately. So often he goes into his bag against SAS and then gets stuck. Can’t let that happen.
@DJAceNBA After they went up 2-0 it became REAL for the first time. But it’s also not over yet. So it’s in that sweet spot of maximum nerves, tension, excitement, and yes, wanting it so bad it hurts.
@BenRitholtzNBA I know what you mean, but Brunson never cooks guys in a way that results in easy baskets. He doesn’t have the explosion to easily finish at the rim. THAT was him cooking: Confidence and clear outs bc he likes the matchup, getting to his spots and making every kind of tough shot.
@DJAceNBA You seem pretty worried about this series, which is fine. One thing to remember: The Knicks don’t have to match the output of the previous series. Those were blowouts through and through. There’s a lot of wiggle room and many paths to series victory.
@DJAceNBA NYK ad - Sixers starters gonna have to play heavy min and a couple of them gonna wear down during and across games.
Sixers ad - Maxey a tough cover for NYK. Maybe play more Deuce at point of attack who should also get more open 3s. Mikal has to contest Maxey from behind.
@SJUDave@51Bmo I was all in on Diop bc of his position and no one else available there. But did they actually need a true 5 like him? Prey and Freeman are bigs. Maybe find another solid 5 and then get the best wings available. Last year Prey was the tallest guy on the team.
@SJUDave Not there yet, and they are a good matchup for the Johnnies, but I would prefer to not have to beat them 3 times. And it would put such a damper on the season to fall to them in the Elite 8. Risk reward not worth it for me.
@msloniker122217@podoffame I agree and have been very vocal about Kershaws failings. Out of all pitchers with 100+ PS IP (31 in total), his PS to RS ERA differential (2.09) is 3x higher than then next worst guy, Greinke (0.65). It’s bad. But when judging totality of career, not 1 game, CK was much better.
@podoffame Other than Postseason, which is a big pox on Kershaw’s career, it’s not even close between Kershaw and Koufax.
Kershaw led in IP (2855-2324), ERA+ (154-131), K/9 (9.6-9.3), WHIP (1.018-1.106), and of course WAR (80.9-48.9). Both had crazy peaks with 3 CYA and an MVP. Not close.
@MattEhalt Absolutely loved reading your tweets from the last couple hours. First class comedy. No one does “whiny coping bitching sports fan” parody like you. Please keep it up.
