Biblically speaking, "preaching" means preaching *Christ.* This means our sermons should be neither inspirational TED talk-type lifecoaching nor intellect-aimed running commentaries on a text. Preach a text, yes, but in your sermon center on or otherwise culminate in Jesus!
When people (young men, for example) are attracted to a charismatic, radical, toxic figure, sometimes we need to ask what felt needs these people are not getting met in healthy ways. Sometimes we just need to accept that the toxic figure appeals to their disordered desires.
