If you bootstrap a company you probably can't compete for talent with $ but there are many ways to show your team you care about them & to make their lives easier. Here are some of my Pyxis family members enjoying a short day of work and some Top Golf. #startups#bootstrapping
The food world needs @IanMcNultyNOLA to comment on the travesty that is @petegenovese being let go. The community of trusted food critics just got smaller and that sucks.
@remarks Imagine having Republicans force you to learn about their second-favorite country, Israel, while at the same time making you read a book about the Holocaust, an event that half their party doesn’t think happened and the other half seems glad it did.
In 2016 Mars said it would take all artificial colors out of M&Ms, Skittles and everything else it makes within five years. They repeated it in 2019. When the deadline came in February 2021 they put a statement on the website saying consumers appreciate the vibrant palette and they would not be removing the colors in the US. They did remove them in Europe because you basically have to there.
Now with the government pushing, Mars is finally putting out natural color M&Ms this year, except blue and brown. Those won't be available until 2028 because the natural blue comes from spirulina and they can't get it bright enough. A Mars executive called it the hardest thing she has had to do in her career.
Reduced Fat Jif isn't peanut butter. Look at the jar, it says Peanut Butter Spread, 60% Peanuts, because FDA requires anything called peanut butter to be at least 90% peanuts. Peanuts are where the fat is, so to make it lower fat they took peanuts out and filled the gap with corn syrup solids and pea protein. The label is legally required to tell you.
Skippy Natural is a spread too, for a dumber reason. The rule says if you add an oil to keep it from separating, the oil has to be hydrogenated. Skippy Natural uses plain palm oil, which isn't, so it can't be called peanut butter even though it has more peanuts in it than the reduced fat one. That 90% number took 12 years of hearings in the 60s to settle. People called them the Peanut Butter Hearings.
Trader Joe's won't say who makes their products and the suppliers sign agreements not to say either. The way reporters figured it out was recalls. When a plant recalls something the FDA notice lists every brand that came off that line, so Eater matched the notices to Trader Joe's lot numbers.
Stacy's makes the pita chips, Naked makes the green juice, Tribe makes the hummus. Tate's, Stauffer's and Wonderful Pistachios all showed up too. The recipes are usually tweaked a little so it's not the exact same product, but Stacy's and Naked are both owned by PepsiCo.
Stavros Halkias: I don't wanna do the both sides bullshit because it's just not true. One side is worse than the other, objectively speaking. One side is disappearing people and one side wants children to have healthcare, I don't think that's equivalent. A lot of stand up comics happened to have some of the dumbest opinions on Earth
@EFprocycling idk who you upset but it seems like there is a pattern in these posts and TV graphics… Quinn on LTK? Healy from the USA? You deserve more respect than that.
Linus Ullmark's playoff performance:

Game 3 | .926 SV%, 2.14 GSAx
Game 4 | .929 SV%, 0.97 GSAx
Sens scored 5 total goals and got swept. I'm not even sure how that's possible with this level of goaltending.
