@Andrew_Fenichel It’s somewhat similar to Trae Young’s contract with the Wizards. It’s an overpay but the Wizards can afford it to be b/c they have so many young guys. The Kings aren’t making the playoffs any time soon, we can afford it.

@Andrew_Fenichel I mean for the Kings if it’s swapping Sabonis for Duren, I’d do it. Duren fits the timeline and him and Acuff would be a solid guard/big pairing. He shrunk in the playoffs but he was an All Star and All NBA this year. It would be an overpay but Kings suck rn, it won’t be that bad

For the Suns, it’s puzzling. They let their 2033 1st go but get a 2029 1st. Unless they make another move that involves their more recent draft picks that they own, the Bridges trade won’t make sense. With their current iteration of a roster, it’s at best another 1st round exit.

Hornets did this move as an effect of the LaMelo trade. They shouldn’t have dealt LaMelo, but they did. So looking at this trade for them, it’s not bad. They get a 2033 1st unprotected by swapping a lesser 2029 1st and also acquired 2 rotational players for Miles Bridges.
