Sometimes, when I look back at the PDP era, I ask myself: Are Nigerians even grateful?

Imagine if the PDP administration had built all the major roads that the APC administration is building now. By now, our concentration would not be on road infrastructure. Unfortunately, the PDP era was worse at building long-term projects in Nigeria.

Thank God that today we have a President who cares about the future of our country.

Across the country, several major road projects are ongoing, including some that were abandoned by the PDP administration.

The day also moved beyond the meeting rooms as the Safety Committee embarked on a technical tour and operational inspection of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, turning strategy into firsthand operational insight.

The 35th ACI Africa Annual General Assembly, Regional Conference & Exhibition is officially underway.

The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun @fkeyamo, SAN, declared the conference open, setting the tone for continued collaboration, growth, and a stronger future for Africa’s airports.

FAAN MD/CE and ACI Africa Vice President, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, in her opening remarks highlighted Nigeria’s aviation growth, noting that the country recorded over 18.8 million domestic and international passengers in 2025, making it the fourth-largest aviation market in Africa.

Also present at the ceremony were ACI Africa Secretary General, Mr Ali Tounsi; Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mahmud Adam Kambari; FAAN Board Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Aviation; and other distinguished aviation leaders from across the continent.

UK SPECIAL PASSPORT INTERVENTION EXERCISE: DAY 13 UPDATE | 21/09/2026

A total of 476 applicants were enrolled across four centers:

The cumulative enrollment since the commencement of the exercise now stands at 5,575 applicants.

Passport production and dispatch for previously enrolled applicants continue unhindered.

The exercise remains ongoing. Applicants are encouraged to continue cooperating with officials.

BREAKING: THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR HON OLUBUNMI TUNJI-OJO INAUGURATES INDEPENDENT PROBE COMMITTEE.

Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has inaugurated an Independent Committee to investigate the reported deaths of 37 persons in NSCDC custody in Niger State, reaffirming the commitment of the Ministry to transparency, accountability and respect for the rule of law.

The Committee has been given a two-week timeframe to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported deaths, establish the facts and submit its findings.

Importantly, the Committee is independent and expected to carry out its assignment without interference, allowing the investigation to objectively establish what transpired and identify any areas of responsibility.

Where the investigation establishes culpability, justice will be served and appropriate action taken against any officer found responsible. This underscores the principle that accountability applies to everyone and that allegations involving the protection and welfare of persons in custody must be treated with the seriousness they deserve.

The inauguration of the Committee therefore represents a clear commitment to JUSTICE, ACCOUNTABILITY and INDEPENDENCE ensuring that the truth is established and that the appropriate steps are taken based on the findings of an independent investigation.

BREAKING: Security Forces Rescue Seven Kidnap Victims Along Dayi–Malumfashi Road

Troops of the 17 Brigade, in collaboration with the Nigerian Police, have successfully rescued seven kidnapped victims along the Dayi–Malumfashi road in Katsina State.

The victims six female students of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma and the vehicle’s driver, Sani Umar were rescued at about 11:45 p.m. on September 21, 2026, after security forces intercepted a green Volkswagen Golf 3 conveying them.

The operation forms part of ongoing security efforts to safeguard major routes across Katsina State and prevent kidnapping and other criminal activities.

The troops remain on high alert as efforts continue to ensure the safety and well-being of the rescued victims and establish the circumstances surrounding their abduction.
