Looking forward to seeing the findings help serve as a strong foundation for transforming our correctional facilities from mere places of incarceration into true centres of rehabilitation, reformation, restoration, and reintegration.
Kudos, sir
Today, I received the comprehensive report of the Independent Investigative Panel on alleged corruption, abuse of power, torture, cruel, inhumane, and degrading treatment against the Nigerian Correctional Service.
The committee, chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Magdalene Ajani, completed this huge task after eighteen months. This milestone marks a critical step forward following the inauguration of the panel in November 2024.
The findings will serve as a strong foundation for transforming our correctional facilities from mere places of incarceration into true centres of rehabilitation, reformation, restoration, and reintegration.
The rate of recidivism has drastically declined from 11,616 inmates in 2023 to 1,382 inmates in 2025, due to intentional rehabilitation efforts. Currently, 62 inmates are pursuing postgraduate studies, 261 are undertaking undergraduate programmes, 1,125 are in ongoing studies, and 9,582 others are participating in non-formal vocational training in various skills.
As I stated in my address, the essence of a correctional service must be transformational and corrective, ensuring compliance with the law while protecting society and restoring hope.
As a government, we are committed to ensuring that no Nigerian, whether free or in custody, is left behind. We will move aggressively from this report to a robust implementation strategy, supported by effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks that will deliver lasting change.
Our goal is clear. Never again should our correctional centres be associated with dehumanisation, corruption, or discrimination. They must become places where lives are rebuilt and inmates are prepared as valuable assets for the growth and development of our dear nation.

No need to capture them, ajjjjeehhh
Well, kudos to the Nigerian Navy following the arrest of a suspected trrorist collaborator
The arrest was made on 1 June 2026 during an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission conducted by NBLC personnel using a tactical drone within the Lake Chad area of operations.
President Tinubu sent for Gov Adeleke twice and he refused to see the President, we even wanted to hand over APC in Osun state to him but due to his low level of intelligence, he couldn’t cope
Sen Fadahunsi claims people like him made Gov Adeleke Governor of Osun and that he won’t be reelected
Hmmmm

@DavidsOffor Amaechi: Buhari was overwhelmed.
Interviewer: why don't you resign?
Amaechi: em hmm.
They box themselves to a corner in attempt to hip the blame on a leader they once served under....🤔
Rotimi Amaechi says that LP, Buhari was overwhelmed during his presidency, when asked why he didn’t quit as minister then, CRA said he needed to be in power to effect changes😗
CRA and staying power ehhh
If PMB was still alive, will CRA be this vocal about his govt??

True governance belongs to the people, and real leadership means engaging directly with every single voice that drives our economy.
The last 48 hours in Ekiti have been a powerful demonstration of our absolute unity and shared vision for a prosperous state.
I held highly productive strategic sessions with our Tricycle and Okada riders, alongside the leadership and members of the NURTW, RTEAN, the private sector, and our incredibly resilient artisans.
These are the men and women who keep Ekiti moving every day. Our discussions focused on protecting our industrial peace, improving welfare, and creating an environment where every local business can thrive.
To back our commitment with immediate action, we also flagged off and disbursed the Community Investment Fund (CIF) to our various Women Affinity Groups (WAGs).
This financial boost goes directly into the hands of our grassroots women, giving them the economic power to scale up their businesses and support their families.
From the roads to the marketplaces, our people-first approach remains completely unshakable.
The overwhelming energy and endorsement from every sector prove that Ekiti is ready to protect its progress.
Let us march forward together with confidence as we approach June 20.

The opposition can continue to play politics with insecurity, but Nigeria will definitely prevail.
President Tinubu knows it is not going to be an easy journey, still he signed for it, contested and he won. He'll definitely win again and again.
Those kidnapped victims will be rescued safely, and we'll not give up on making Nigeria a better and safer nation.
