THE BABY HAS ARRIVED - PRE-NAMING ANNOUNCEMENT
Empire of Scars: The Legendary History of Nigeria
My Dear Friends,
At last, the cry of a long-awaited baby has been heard!
Our baby, whom we collectively conceived and whose intellectual foetus has been growing in the womb of history for FOUR WHOLE YEARS, has finally been delivered. What began as an idea has matured into an heirloom; what started as a dream has found its way into the hands of destiny.
Four years of sweat. Four years of sleepless vigils. Four years of descending into the deepest caverns of our storied past, to bring our history into the light in its purest and richest form.
Today, the cord is cut. The cry has been heard.
Ladies and gentlemen, the baby is here!
That baby for whom your congratulations have been so warm, your encouragement so reassuring, and your anticipation so infectious is none other than our long-awaited book project:
EMPIRE OF SCARS: THE LEGENDARY HISTORY OF NIGERIA.
This book is our attempt to bring those stories home, to illuminate the shadows of our past, interrogate the scars of our journey, and preserve the lessons from yesterday that tomorrow must not be allowed to forget.
But, dear friends, every child deserves a befitting naming ceremony, and a project of this magnitude must not be ushered into the world through the back door.
Prepare yourselves for a dignifying launch, one worthy of the labour, the vision, and the historical significance of this noble undertaking.
Yet, before we discharge this bouncing baby from the delivery ward and formally present it to the world, there is a peculiar privilege reserved for our friends in the diaspora. They shall have the first glimpse of this beautiful creation, a taste of the intellectual harvest we have laboured for four years to bring home.
And then, my dear friends here with me at home, our own copies shall follow at the grand launch and beyond as the princes and princesses that we are.
The scars are real. The stories are older than the scars. And the griot has found his voice.
Empire of Scars is finally here.
Shall the LEGENDARY J.O.E begin?

Good Evening Severally...
The wrestler who cannot find his opponent's waist will bite - it is the oldest confession of weakness.
Insult is the refuge of the unintelligent. Abuse is the comfort of the civil misfit. It is a terrain upon which I am, thankfully, poorly equipped - and savagery is a dialect I have never been fluent in. I will not, however, begrudge you your excellence in that uncouth firmament. Flourish there, if it pleases you.
But when the madness is done, return to the article.
Read up the article again, consciously this time - and attend to the query within. If the Renewed Hope administration bears responsibility for the hike in pump price, then present your alternative.
Your alternative - measured against the weight of global dynamics, inherited fiscal wreckage, and a world still hemorrhaging from the wounds of an unfinished war.
What will your Messiah do differently?
You either have answers or you stick to offering counsels on bedroom affairs and divorce matters. That is your forte, one I admit you are efficient at. Kindly stick to it and leave matters of governance and geopolitics to the intelligent minds forged for it.
The floor remains open. The question stands.
@LegendaryJoe Anyone that deserves to be jailed or prosecuted among them for spreading and circulating falsehood should not be spared. One of their godfathers is already cooling his head in the prison for wire tapping NSA phone lines.
CRIME IS NOT OPPOSITION
We do not restrain a child from contracting leprosy, provided he can survive isolation in the thick forest. But even an idiot knows the difference between political opposition and deliberate falsehood. Young boy, this is not even a clever attempt at propaganda. It is an insult to common sense.
Let us examine this document you have paraded.
1. A suspicious reference number: GH/KD/S/276, which raises questions about the document’s authenticity.
2. Unprofessional formatting: The letter fails basic standards expected of official government correspondence.
3. A misspelt Governor’s name: An elementary but significant error that further casts doubt on the document’s authenticity and the purported signature.
Now, let us address the elephant in the room.
Kaduna State’s entire 2026 budget is approximately ₦986 billion. Yet, this purported document suggests an expenditure of more than twice the state’s annual budget on a single rally. How does that arithmetic work? Young boy, we are waiting for your explanation.
Beyond the laughable mathematics, however, there may be serious legal implications if the document is established to be forged and its circulation unlawful.
1. Forgery and related offences
Under the applicable Kaduna State Penal Code provisions, dishonestly making or using a false document with the requisite fraudulent intent may constitute forgery. Depending on the specific offence and applicable provision, the consequences can include substantial imprisonment, usually not less than 10 years and fines.
Young boy, I do not know how old you are, but a criminal conviction and maybe 10 years behind bars could turn what remains of your future into a rather unfortunate historical tragedy.
2. Impersonation and personation of a public officer
Knowingly creating or circulating a document falsely purporting to emanate from the Governor or his office may also raise questions of impersonation or related offences, depending on the facts and applicable law.
3. Cybercrime-related offences
Where a forged document is digitally created, manipulated or circulated, relevant provisions of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, as amended in 2024, may also become relevant, depending on the conduct and evidence.
This is not 2022 or 2023, when anarchy was allowed to prevail and falsehood dominated the social space.
Young boy, you are free to oppose the government. You are free to criticise the Governor. You are free to mobilise against the ruling party. That is democracy.
But you are not free to manufacture official documents, attribute them falsely to public officers and expect the law to applaud your ingenuity.
Engage in opposition within the boundaries of the law, or be prepared to answer for your actions if the evidence establishes an offence.
The forest is vast, but the law has a longer reach than you imagine.

@LegendaryJoe Legendary quote"When the market has chosen its buyer(PBAT), the seller who keeps shouting at an empty stall is only entertaining the flies
There are seasons when opposition is a noble calling, and there are seasons when it becomes a lonely pilgrimage against the tide. This is one of those moments when the cost of standing apart appears heavier than the courage required to remain standing.
When the market has chosen its buyer, the seller who keeps shouting at an empty stall is only entertaining the flies.
At least, you have admitted two things here:
1. They are truly supporters.
2. They are Nigerians.
In your own case, Brother Yele, even if you were to assemble your entire numerical strength from every continent on earth, Antarctica inclusive, and enlist a few souls who may have crossed to the other side of existence, whether heaven or hell, you still would not have enough to fill a quarter of a stadium of this size.
But do not be deceived.
The indigenous supporters lending their voices and backing from outside this stadium are twice the number of those seated within. That, my brother, is the difference between a crowd and a movement.
I humbly suggest you make peace with your calling. Every great contest needs its side entertainment, and not everyone who takes the stage is destined to be a contender. Some are merely there to keep the audience entertained while the heavyweights settle the score.
This is clearly above your weight category, Brother Yele. Do not mistake the boxing ring for a playground simply because you have found your way into it.
Good Evening Severally...
even a loser deserves some little joy in defeat. If name-calling is the only consolation left, who are we to deprive him of his favourite pastime? Let losers breathe.

Thank you, Kaduna and the entire North West for coming out in your nunbers to show love and support for the performing President.
Thank you, President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT for keeping your promises as laid out in your 2023 manifesto.
Despite attempts by the opposition to stage skits, today reaffirmed what we have always known ... that many Nigerians are ready to come out with their PVCs to vote the APC's Tinubu-Shettima ticket in for another four years.

“What we have done is to fight for the survival of this nation. So allow me, Your Excellencies, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, to reintroduce ourselves to you, and to show you that you do not have allies as sincere as we are.
We have been able to keep this country together and defy the predictions of those who forecasted the implosion of our economy simply because we work together.
Almost four years ago, you spoke eloquently, sincerely, boldly, and decisively to elect a change-maker, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
We didn't win the 2023 election because we were wise; far from it. We didn't win because we were rich, nor did we win because we were the most educated or the best speakers. We won because you saw the options before you and knew, without a doubt, that the alternative was a calamity.
For the good people of Kaduna State, we have seen why you stood tall to renew the mandate of the APC, to give His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, the mandate to redeem the fortunes of this great state. This wisdom has made Kaduna State a unified place; a place where a man from Zonkwa sees a man from Zaria as a brother. It is a place where the dividends of democracy are felt just as strongly in Kachia as they are in Metropolitan Kaduna.
This is the legacy of the APC in Kaduna State, and this is why we have come to ask you to renew the mandate a second time for the APC, from top to bottom.
We have the courage to come to Kaduna today because we have kept our promise never to let you down. First and foremost, we promised to restore Kaduna State's glory as the nation's center of learning. Haven't we delivered on that? We brought you the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, haven't we? We carried forward the transition of the Federal College of Education in Zaria, haven't we? We have established state vocational institutes in Rigachukun, Soba, and Samaru Kataf, producing over 4,000 graduates.
To top it all off, we rolled out education funding through NELFUND for hundreds of thousands of students in your universities—haven't we? Truly, the APC is the party to do business with.
And for my brothers in the North, I have a simple message for you: we have built a consistent record of completing projects initiated by our predecessors. This is why we have registered substantial progress on the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano gas pipeline, the Kano–Maradi railway, the Lagos–Kano rail corridor, and the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano road. We are also advancing work on the Sokoto–Badagry highway, which will open up a vista of opportunities for agricultural production across this country.
Finally, I want us to bear this in mind and look back at the past: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a leader who has fiercely identified with the North over the years."

APC will be doing mega rallies, ADC will be doing press conferences, NDC will be doing Twitter Spaces. In January when progressives are celebrating Tinubu’s victory, wailers will be shouting rigging.

The @OfficialAPCNg and the Tinubu regime want Nigerians to mistake a “packed” stadium for nationwide support.
Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna holds just 5,000 people, even at that, supporters were transported in from across Nigeria to fill it.
In 2027, @officialABAT will still lose the election.
The ex-Waziri should perhaps begin contemplating an honourable exit from the political theatre. Kaduna today was not merely overwhelming; it was intimidating, almost enough to send political blood pressure through the roof!
I would advise Alhaji to continue calling “Bola” or "Akanbi" or "Ahmed" whatever names afford him a measure of comfort. After all, even a loser deserves some little joy in defeat. If name-calling is the only consolation left, who are we to deprive him of his favourite pastime? Let losers breathe.
When the crowd speaks with such deafening clarity, sometimes the wisest response is to turn down the volume of one's own bitterness.
