VP Shettima To North: You Have Nothing To Fear In President Tinubu's 2nd Term.

As northern think tank, Arewa for Asiwaju, storms Aso Rock, declares full support for president's reelection

The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has issued a rallying cry to the North for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reelection in the 2027 presidential election, declaring that the region has absolutely nothing to fear from a second term for the President.

With urgent intensity, he implored northern leaders and citizens to unite behind the President's re-election bid, framing the administration's second-term agenda as a secure, bulletproof guarantee for the region's future prosperity and stability.

Senator Shettima made the call on Monday when he received on a courtesy visit, a delegation from the Arewa for Tinubu (A4A) - a northern-based think tank -:working for the reelection of President Tinubu.

He called on leaders across the region to unite into a single front and work for the progress of the area and the wellbeing of its people, which are top priorities for the Tinubu administration.

According to the VP, the North has no reason to be scared of the re-election of President Tinubu, as it has benefitted immensely in terms of appointments and game-changing projects and programmes.

His words: "Let's unite as a people and work for the development of our region and the progress of our people through the re-election of this administration. We are benefiting and we stand to benefit more from this government in many ways.

"The Bank of Agriculture has disbursed N450 billion to 700,000 smallholder farmers in Nigeria and about 70 percent of the beneficiaries are from the north.

"The present administration is working towards completing landmark and ground breaking projects in parts of the country. I can assure you that the president loves the north and the president will work for the north."

The Vice President thanked the group for their steadfast support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at all times and appealed to them to work harder and galvanize across wards, communities and local governments in the northern region for the President's re-election.

Earlier, the Director General of the Area for Asiwaju and former Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Badaru, said the organisation will not rest on its oars untill they make the North proud by reelecting President Tinubu.
He said the group plans to meet with religious leaders, including Muslim and Christian clerics, as well as other prominent Nigerians to explain to them the need to support the Tinubu/Shettima ticket in 2027.

"On discussions with the high profile, we have gone far. We have met them severally and the BoT is meeting them again to consolidate our gains and to tell them why there is need to support this ticket.

"We are also supporting the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) with whatever they want us to do that is micro in nature because they are so big and we really don't want to lose sight of the bigger arrangement that is there. We want to focus very well on the contacts at the grassroots - the local government areas and the wards."

Also, Chairman of the organisation's Board of Trustees (BoT) and former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, said the think tank which worked for President Tinubu's election in the 2023 general election will repeat the same feat in 2027.

He said the organisation had been meeting with northern governors and other stakeholders to compare notes and collaborate on areas of working together to achieve the President's reelection.

He noted that the organisation has concluded plan to have a full-fledged secretariat for purposes of coordination, where there will be offices for directors and state coordinators will compare reports, analyse them, and give out instructions to its members.

Gembu Road: A 60-Year Promise Finally Fulfilled Under President Tinubu.

After hearing the voices of communities living around this corridor you will know that there is no way history will not be kind to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

For the people of Gembu in Taraba State, the completion of the Gembu road is more than just a road project it is the fulfilment of a promise that had remained unfulfilled for decades.

Since 1961, successive governments had promised to address this critical infrastructure challenge, yet the people continued to endure the difficult terrain, especially during the rainy season.

Today, under President Tinubu, that long-standing promise is becoming a reality. In just over two years, the people of Gembu and surrounding communities can now travel more safely and smoothly, including across the Taraba River.

For years, the difficult terrain and unsafe river crossings claimed hundreds of lives, with boat mishaps becoming tragically common during the rainy season.

Now, a project that generations of governments promised but could not deliver is finally being addressed.

This is what development looks like: turning decades of promises into reality and connecting communities that had waited far too long.

For the good people of Taraba, the Gembu road will undoubtedly remain one of the projects they remember when it is time to decide who deserves another mandate.

Promises made. Promises fulfilled. A new chapter for Gembu and Taraba State.

OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA TROOPS AVERT POTENTIAL TRAGEDY, NEUTRALISE IED THREAT ON ZAMFARA ROAD

Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA have recovered and neutralized explosive devices planted by terrorists to cause major havoc to commuters along Magami - Hannutara- Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State

The troops acting on credible information secured the affected area and conducted a thorough search and identified 2 spots planted with explosive devices. Consequently an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was subsequently deployed to destroy one device and safely recovered and rendered another harmless.

The troops have intensified patrols and surveillance in the area to safeguard residents and prevent further threats. Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency.

Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to modernising Kaduna State’s transport infrastructure and promoting clean energy is reflected in the ongoing installation of a 1MW solar photovoltaic mini-grid and 1,305kWh energy storage system at the Ultra-Modern Bus Terminal in Millennium City, Kaduna.

The management team of the Kaduna Power Supply Company (KAPSCO), led by Engr. Aminu Idris, recently inspected the project, which is located at what is recognised as the largest bus terminal in West Africa. The facility is one of three strategic transport hubs being developed by the Governor Uba Sani administration to transform urban mobility, stimulate regional commerce and integrate clean, sustainable energy into public infrastructure.

Yayale Ahmed Commends NAHCON’s Progress, Offers Counsel on Hajj Administration

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Alhaji Yayale Ahmed (Ajiyan Katagum), recently paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), at the Hajj House in Abuja.

The visit provided an opportunity for the former SGF to offer strategic guidance and encouragement to the NAHCON leadership on advancing Hajj administration and improving services for Nigerian pilgrims.

Alhaji Yayale Ahmed expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the progress recorded by the Commission under Ambassador Yusuf’s leadership. He specifically noted his satisfaction with the Chairman’s agenda, praising its core focus on prioritizing pilgrim welfare. He emphasized that sustained attention to the needs of pilgrims is essential to enhancing their overall Hajj experience.

In response, Ambassador Yusuf described Alhaji Yayale Ahmed as a vital stakeholder whose vast administrative skills, experience and insight remain invaluable to the Hajj sector. The Chairman expressed his gratitude for the visit, thanking the elder statesman for his continued personal guidiance, and interest in the well-being of Nigerian pilgrims.

Ambassador Yusuf assured the former SGF that NAHCON remains committed to leveraging the wisdom of key stakeholders as it implements practical measures to reform Hajj administration and elevate service delivery.

NAHCON Chairman Receives NSCDC Commandant General, Reaffirms Inter-Agency Cooperation

Wednesday, 7th October 2026.

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CG Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, today paid a courtesy call on the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, at his office at Hajj House, Abuja.

The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on strengthening the existing collaboration between NAHCON and the NSCDC, particularly in the areas of security, crowd movement management and safety of pilgrims, as well as effective coordination during Hajj operations.

The Commandant General commended the leadership of Ambassador Yusuf and the ongoing reforms being undertaken by NAHCON towards repositioning the Nigerian Hajj industry. He assured the Commission of the NSCDC’s continued support and cooperation.

Responding, the NAHCON Chairman appreciated the Commandant General for the visit and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to sustaining and strengthening the partnership between NAHCON and the NSCDC in the interest of Nigerian pilgrims and the success, safety and smooth conduct of future Hajj operations.

Update from ongoing Kano–Katsina Road Project.

The emergency lovers of the North will never see this as a progress, that's why they always said Tinubu is not doing anything in the North.

When President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration inherited the Project, it was only about 15% completed.

Today, the project has progressed to over 50% completion and to me that is more than a promise it is visible progress and measurable delivery.

Anyone following the road, Know the Kano–Katsina Road will strengthen connectivity between the two states, improve security, boost trade and commerce, ease the movement of agricultural produce, and make transportation safer and more convenient for millions of Nigerians.

Under President Tinubu, the North is not being left behind. Projects are moving, infrastructure is progressing, and the people are beginning to see the results. Thank you Baba @officialABAT.

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday, October 5, 2026, joined APC leaders and stakeholders at the APC Women Stakeholders Mobilisation and Empowerment Campaign Roll Out held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Center, Abuja.

The event brought together women stakeholders, female aspirants and members of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Directorate.

The First Lady was joined by the Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee, Senator Abdulaziz Yari; Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma; former APC National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje; and other party leaders.

NELFUND, Free Technical Education & Increased Allocations: @OfficialAPCNg Presidential Campaign Council Spokeperson, Mallam Alwan Hassan (@yesmylo) Highlights President @officialABAT Administration’s Interventions.

Speaking on Real Media TV, Mallam Alwan Hassan discussed the measures being implemented by the @officialABAT administration to cushion the effects of ongoing economic reforms.

According to him, the removal of fuel subsidy, though difficult, became necessary, with savings from the policy being channelled to states and local governments through increased allocations.

He also highlighted the impact of @NELFUND , which is providing financial support to students and helping to ease the burden on parents and families.

Beyond NELFUND, Alwan Hassan noted that technical college education has been made free, with students also receiving stipends as part of efforts to expand access to skills development.
