⭐ BIG FISH - THE MUSICAL - MOUNTVIEW ⭐

Well this was just wonderful 🥰

I absolutely fell in love with this musical last year, after seeing a local amateur production, so I jumped at the chance to come see Mountview students perform it ✨

Brilliantly performed by the talented MA Musical Theatre students, led by Jarrard Richards as Edward Bloom, who was charming and eminently watchable ✨

Playing opposite was the superb Daniel Chettoe, as Will Bloom, not only did he give a moving performance, his singing voice was FANTASTIC 😘👌

If Les Mis isn't in his near future, I'll eat my metaphorical hat lol 🇫🇷

The scene-stealing Yossi Mark, as Amos, garnered the biggest laughs throughout the show, a talented comedic actor 🌟

Also of note were Shelbi Forrest, whose beautiful performance as Sandra, displayed a maturity beyond her years. Sarah O'Neil, as Young Sandra, rendition of "Daffodils" was a personal highlight, doing justice to my favourite song of the show 🥰

Inventively staged by Oliver Lidert, aided by the ingenious set design by PJ McEvoy, and strikingly beautiful lighting design by Mark Dymock 💡

Musical direction by George Francis, with the help of the fabulous musicians playing, really made the score soar 🎹

Congratulations to all involved, for another fantastic production from Mountview 💖 X x x
