@JordyGrewal This being said, if you have a patient who has been in shock and you see AST/ALT shoot into the 3ks and upwards, you immediately need to think about shock liver.
@JordyGrewal NAC is going to be your “throw the sink at it” therapy when you have to do or die. It’s why there’s a specific time window for administration in Tylenol OD
@JordyGrewal I’m using mild very broadly to say not in acute liver failure. Transaminitis will vary according to etiology/time from mutual insult. AST/ALT levels don’t say a ton by themselves.
@JordyGrewal Unless fulminant, hepatitis is more or less a mild condition. Is your patient acutely encephalopathic? Is their liver synthetic function acutely impaired(inc pro time, INR), platelets dropping? ascitic? Acutely jaundiced? These are the things that are going to indicate severity
@AustinRyanHunt @namemeansking @ftrlatinadr @TaneishaRenae Be my guest and hit that block button, compadre. Wouldn’t want to hurt your fragile feelings
Not having a stable, two-parent household with a father present is by far the greatest predictor of child poverty - leagues ahead of race and region, and rendering both of those insignificant or close to it in multi-variate models.
That's the tweet, as the kiddos say.
